Had to get mine removed, bottoms were starting to poke through and the top ones were triggering migraines. Since that was done back in 2004/2005, I have had 2 migraines since then.

-Completed Day 4 of the Rapha Festive 500 with a 50ish mile (4200ft of climbing) ride through the headlands. I got two flats and decided to cut the ride short a bit since I was out of spares and had a bad vibe. Stopped by Studio Velo on the way back and picked up a new set of tires to replace the crappy 'stock' ones that came on the bike when I bought it. They had a ton of gashes/holes/etc in them.

-On my way home, some asshat in a car decided it would be a great idea to dive into the bike lane, without signaling and slam on his brakes for a parking spot. I happened to be occupying the space he merged into though and I couldn't react fast enough to stop myself from slamming into the back of his car at about 12mph (not fast, but not slow either).

Thankfully I am ok except for some scrapes/bruises and the bike is totally fine. The front wheel had to be trued a bit, but that was it. The worst part was the guy was trying to tell me it was my fault. "Well you know, it's the fault of the guy behind if it's a rear end!" No, ****tard, that's not how it works here. I was in a bike line... you know that thing you are suppose to check before entering (that you didn't) WHERE BIKES ARE SUPPOSE TO BE. I was not taking a vehicle lane. "Well I'm broke so if it's money you're after..." Again, I don't give a ****. If I find out later I broke something, your ass is paying for it some how. After I and an awesome bystander/witness insisted on getting his info, I was able to take a picture of his DL, just in case.

Anyway, picture:

and WTF glad you're OK.

Word, same here (15 years, not 20, but still). I have an old school dentist that says "if they're not bothering you, leave 'em" but whenever I get one of the younger dentists in the practice, they want to yank them.

They planned to yank mine early (no matter what) as soon as they came in. Luckily I don't have any :)

today i saw a selle italia turbo for sale for $69 on ebay but also with a "make offer" option enabled and none sold within the last 30 days. so I offered $50 (expecting a counter) and the counter came back at "$68" with the note "$68.00 is our lowest possible price for this item!"

remove the damn "make offer" button from your auction, twerps!

Taking advantage of the beautiful weather today and getting a group ride together.

I tested out the castelli arm warmers last night and they are awesome. anyone who catches them on bonktown should grab them. really really happy with the purchase and I thought originally it was a bit silly to have them. after biking around when it was cold then ending up inside, it was really awesome to just be able to whip them on or off

Today I edited some articles for publication. Someone needs to make a meme for college journalism students along the lines of: submits article using three different fonts...you wanted me to use spellcheck, too?

I want to find who taught these people how to write and spend the rest of my night kicking them in the shins.

If they intend to make it a career, they'll probably figure things out pretty quickly.

Today I ate a burrito at Panchero's to make up for the terrible Subway I had for lunch. Now I'm going to play Battlefield 3 until my food digests enough to roller.

RGNY 12-29-11 08:47 PM

I had to drive 2 hrs to the Target I just got hired at (right off campus) for my job orientation. Watched stupid, pointless videos that basically tell me to be polite and use my manners, which is how I was raised, for about three hours. And then another 2 hrs home. Then had dinner and caught up with some friends that I haven't seen in a few years.

Took a day off of riding to let this saddle sore heal up. Triple antibiotic cream has been good to me. Sad part was that today is the nicest day we've had in a while. Went jeans shopping. I hate when I lose/gain enough weight to need clothing of a new size, and when I go to the store the only things I like are in my former size. Also, I realized that I really need to ride more. I'm up a pant size...

Decided that my bag looked boring, so I cut a stencil. Tomorrow I'll spray the flap with this stuff to break up the endless field of yellow, and give the design a little texture. I think it's gonna look pretty good when I'm done.

It won't be anything nearly as fancy. I tend to go for a much blockier, monochromatic style. Also, I have no talent.

Today I watched "How I Met Your Mother" all day and spent four hours waiting for/eating wings (Thursdays are half off!).

Gotta get off my butt...
