What did you like more about them? I have the wing pros and have always been curious about the dedas because they look so similar.

The curve at the elbow of the bar starts later so the flat section is wider. Nisssseeeee.

dddavid 01-23-12 02:12 PM

So more space for your hands in the hood position? Oooh that does sound nice. Cool, thanks.

yummygooey 01-23-12 02:14 PM

Nonono... more space on the top section where the bars are flat... the "wing" section. The ramp part where the hoods go actually feels smaller to me.

xavier853 01-23-12 02:21 PM

You know how I was complaining that my chain was tanked and the masterlink was messed?

Well, today, my chain snapped while riding. Nothing bad happened, I just slowed to a stop and picked up the chain. getting the bus to the bike shop for a replacement after class.

To add insult: Mother nature gave me 50 degrees and sun this morning. This afternoon when I am done with class, it says pouring rain.

Oh, lol. Sorry. I usually have my hands in the hood position or the drops so maybe I'll stick with the wing pros. Thanks.

Haha, no worries. We'll see how I like them after I put some real miles on them.

How would I go about that in an efficient manner. Remember, I can run a restaurant, I can run a bar, and I can run a venue. I've done all three. I've never opened something of my own. This is entirely new ground for me.

You got offered $3m without a location in mind? I'm impressed.

hamfoh 01-23-12 02:42 PM

yeah the dedas have a lot more room up top than the FSAs

I have three locations in mind. Just nothing secure. Not trying to sound arrogant, but if you had ever eaten my food, you'd be impressed enough to convince someone to invest in me too.

Now you just sound arrogant.

Just kidding, this sounds like a super cool deal. I'll have to make the short trip to Chicago and check it out when you're up and running. Maybe we could get a ride in together too!

hamfoh 01-23-12 02:53 PM

I'm excited to hear about the process from the ground up. You need your own thread so we can track your progress without losing it in another thread

Today I got my St. Baldrick's Foundation page up and running. I'm raising money for the foundation with the promise that I will get my head shaved at their event on March 16.

Between St. Baldrick's fundraising, Tiny Fix event planning, helping jimmytango navigate this restaurant/bar thing... and of course riding and hanging with my friends and my full time job, I have no free time any more. I kind of like it this way. :)

I sympathize. Work, full-time school, running my own non-profit, and my responsibilities as a husband... I don't have much time to think these days.

if you need any tips on head shaving, please check out

(i'm kidding about needing tips, not about that you should all check it out)

I have a shaved head and we hang out all of the time. I'm becoming a pro at head shaving.

I'll either ask Scrod about whether I should start a thread about it or just start a blog and link it in my profile.

+1. Also make sure that Scrod/Carleton won't move it to Foo. (I'm sure they will understand)

jimmytango 01-23-12 06:02 PM

Just gonna make a Tumblr or something and link it, that way friends that aren't part of BFSSFG can follow it too. Easier that way, and it also prevents the forum from getting clogged with OT threads anymore than it already has.

xavier853 01-23-12 06:07 PM

Anyway, here is what happened today.

Dannihilator 01-23-12 06:18 PM

That's a good looking jersey.

Today was a very wet, soggy 65 miles.

jimmytango 01-23-12 06:22 PM
