My dog - the one in my avatar. He was only four years old. He suffered every day of his life because this evil **** neglected and malnourished him til he was 18 months old, when I rescued him. I want to burn her ****ing house down. Idaho's animal abuse laws are a joke so there was nothing I could do to make her pay for what she had done. My poor baby...

dammit, now I'm thinking about my dogs. My family had a french mastiff and rottweiler, they grew up together with my middle brother and me. In 10th or 11th grade I found the mastiff had died in her sleep and was in denial
it just went downhill from there for the rottweiler and eventually we had to put him down
. They were both pretty old at around 10 years.

Today I: took a day off and watched the second stage of the Amgen Tour of California. SRAM was at the cycle club offering free demo rides with the new 2012 Red groupset. I said sure and rode ~30miles on a Specialized S-Works Roubaix w/ Red and Zipp 404s. Holy crap what a bike!!
Posted up along highway 35 (skyline), the early two-man break shows up 1:45 before the Peloton:

This big guy has never known anything but love in his life and at ten years old still acts like a puppy... he came by today for his annual haircut and when I was trimming around his face and ears I had a lot of problems as all he wanted to do was kiss me.
He is 90 pounds of love and perfectly trained... he used to work as a messenger in Vancouver alongside his master and can be taken anywhere off leash.
Taking a break during his haircut...

The only thing he kills is sticks and trees... the red mark on his shoulder stems from trying to scratch a spot he had not been able to touch because of his uber thick winter coat.

This is mostly hair...

Took this last summer after his "lion" clip...

Since he loves the water he got a closer clip this year so that it would not take him half a day to dry out.

Today I went to the doctor regarding my clavicle. He says I'm fine, recommends that I don't fall on it again within the next 4 weeks or so. turns out I may have a "fiberous non-union" healing from my last break. I have no idea what that means or if it's dangerous. He says if it doesn't give me trouble, I can just leave it alone.
Today I also was bummed, because I originally had taken the day off to ride and watch the ATOC with Jandro. I instead drowned by sorrows with wine at a park (added a sqrl to make me seem like less of an alcoholic).

did. was my first thought since I rubbed some paint off that way once. of course once I went out I forgot about it.
today I went to the velodrome for my certificate training. Foolishly I went up 10 gear inches from what I was riding around town before going because I felt it would be necessary to maintain leet speed. problem: I wasn't used to maintaining a good cadence at that ratio, so was dealing with early track anxiety and a bike I wasn't totally used to for a while. started feeling more comfortable the more I went. instructor wanted me to do 1 more session before I race, but I'm going back much more than that before I pull that shiz
some serious roadies showed up to get certified too and they were killing it. two of them had never ridden a track bike before but after about an hour it didn't seem to matter. lots of fun, will be back

Today I also did some HIIT training on the... trainer. Not sure my clavicle is quite ready for the road, it burns a bit. Must've been some gnarly muscle trauma or something.

just 86gi. I just wasn't used to spinning it the way I needed to. would commute at times as low as 68Gi (lots of redlights!) on the way to class too.
