used to work overnights 5 days a week and i found that to be the only reliable way to reset my sleep pattern once i had days off, the 3-7 pm part was always the toughest hump to get over

Today my legs are sore. I'm also gonna look around at a couple bike shops for some bar end brake levers for the Kilo. The dia compe's on there work really well, they just have too much lateral play in the lever.

Today I discovered a pretty well paved and well trafficked street that I can do morning cross town rides on. Since I dont work 5 days a week anymore I need to pick up the slack in my mileage. It's only 5 miles but it gets me to the other side of town quickly so I can take a long way back

Rode 48 miles, drank almost a 5 quarts of Gatorade/Water and still came home 3 pounds light. Super hot out but it feels good, man.

Today I spent 2 hours in the midday sun/heat trying to make my jungle of a backyard look presentable. Now, (post-shower) off to the store to get grilling supplies. Couple of friends coming over for backyard hangs in a few hours. I <3 summer.

today i went to a new lbs, asked if they can swap a crown race from one fork to the other, for which i got the following response:

"what? you mean like pound it out? yeah we could probably do that."

then i left.

Today(and yesterday), I came to the realization that I'm not comfortable on my Kagero and I don't know why. Feels bad, man.

This happened to me too, all at once. A week later it was in the mail on its way to someone else.

Ugh. I don't even know if it's the bike or the components. My legs start to go numb after 5+ miles with no standing(which isn't common), but I could probably attribute to the saddle or something. My wrists always hurt(but I have weak crappy wrists) and palms often go numb, so I'm constantly switching hand positions. Lastly, my feet hurt, but it might because I haven't been riding regularly and my feet aren't used to/broken into my road shoes. Don't even know where to start though.

Road shoes should be comfortable from the first pedal turn. They don't really break in like other shoes, because of the stiff soles.

Came up to Milwaukee for Summerfest with my wife and our friend Justine. It is pretty rad. Saw a new band called Machines Are People Too. Kaz, I think you'd dig them. Watched a strongman competition and a guy with a chainring tattooed on his leg got third in his weight class. Now to get dinner, go see The Roots and ZZ Top (stages are next to each other), and go find a dive to get drunk in. Vacations are nice

Removing a crown race and reinstalling it on another fork literally takes less than five minutes with the proper tools - and every establishment calling themselves a bike shop should have the tools and know how to do it. Please do not give this place any of your money.
