Today I:
Give us a damn teaser pic, man.
I just sat with a kid who took a u-lock to the head and waited for EMS/CPD to arrive. His misdeed? Walking in the bike lane when the ******* in front of me wanted to be there. I hate when people walk/jog/skate in bike lanes too, but that was nuts. Kid was lucid the whole time. I gave a description of the guy and his bike to the cops and rode home. Did I make the right call, or should I have chased him down?

I would have chased him down, and drug him back to the scene by his eye sockets.
Yeah, that's nuts. I was trying for obscure characters in old novels and it wasn't beating him.

Towel, this is eerily similar to my first thought.
Kaz, thanks. Good to get affirmation from someone whose opinion I generally trust.
Aristo, agreed. However *whispers* Kaz is a girl.
There was a lot of blood. I should've asked what hospital he was going to so that I could go make sure he's ok.

I'm gonna run it up to #40, then try Snake Eater. I think I know of WAY too many movie and cartoon characters that'll fly under dude's radar.
What's on his hat? Tortellini dipped in gold?
More like a fortune cookie, mebbe.
Still kicking.

Today I also think I need to take a break from longer road rides, my body is feeling pretty out of whack atm.

I already posted the teaser!!!!! seee**********??
But yeah, just picked her up from the bike shop, and the owner & mechanics loved it, lol. I rode it to the shop tuesday morning to get some tires, all my packages came in on wednesday, and I brought it in again today to get it looked over. I told him it wouldn't look the same. He believes me now.
Rode it home. Handlebars were lose, not too loose, but loose enough when I dug in to beat a light they moved. Scared me. Pulled over, tightened them. good to go.
First time using clipless since the broken foot. First time on the 105's. No issues, they were so easy to get in and out. I shouldn't say easy, I should say compliant.
Guess I have to make a pedal room now that I'm not embarrassed of my bike, lol.
Tomorrow I'll try to get in about 10 miles. I geared way down. 47/17. Its spinny.

Today I got no bites on my gigantic Nishiki. I think I need to limit my flip choices to 58cm/23" max.
Tomorrow gonna put on some drop bars and DT or stem shifters maybe it'll attract more attention than with the townie bars and Suntour thumbshifters (which I kinda wanna keep anyways, being a 7-speed Suntour MTB junkie).

Bunch more here. https://www.flickr.com/photos/lestero...7630336297822/
Fingers crossed that elimination of townie bars and lame-o adjusta-stem works some magic. Might just have to wait 'til Saturday. Sold a MTB in no time last Sat. Maybe all the Portland hipsters have already moved on from C&V roadies and are on 90s MTBs now ?

Today I buy fireworks. 99 cent mortars and 6-packs of Roman candles. I might stock up this year, it kinda seems like this might be the last year of boom boom party time. Might have to go to the reservation next year.

Today (just now) some jackass came strolling into the shop smoking a cigarette. When I told him he couldn't smoke in here, he got flip and said "I don't see a no smoking sign anywhere". I responded by telling him to get the **** out of my shop. He seemed to be a little hard of hearing so I helped him by opening the door and pushing him outside. Once out on the sidewalk, he did a lot of telling me he was going to kick my ass but not much else. Damn fool.

I always enjoy your stories of confrontation.
Today I am contemplating leaving early (like, soon). Considering my boss snuck out to see a movie this afternoon, I think it would be ok.

Considering that the rain just stopped and it's beautiful outside, I say go for it. I wish I was riding right now, but I have a ton of running around with Mrs.tango so public transit it is.
