Gonna get so tarck at Marymoor today with jdg and charlie. RIDE ALL THE TARCKS.
No. I'm married, homie.
Yes. This exactly. Come drink sometime. I haven't seen you in forever, and we need classy drinkers that can hold their ****. Tomorrow after you leave work?
Yeah, I know you're a different ward, but the roads by us suck ass.
Today I went to bed at 8am, was at work by noon, had my first Bloody Mary at one, and will be here until midnight. It's gonna be a long day.
Today I'm going to see a matinee showing of Avengers and have a late lunch with friends. But first, I'm gonna take some pictures of the terrible state of the roads in my neighborhood and use them to write a grumbly letter to my alderman. (Said alderman set up these "bike safety events" that are really police enforcement of bikes breaking the laws, like riding on sidewalks. As much as I hate people that ride on sidewalks, in our neighborhood it's completely understandable because the roads are so bad and the traffic so dangerous. So I am firmly but politely going to point out that sidewalk riding is much more likely to decrease if riding on the roads isn't dangerous and/or terrifying.)

Today I ate **** out of the blue.
My front tire lodged itself inbetween two metal grates on the street. I fell over all was good, it was in the morning with no traffic so i got lucky.
irritating thing is i ride over metal grates i thought where the same on my regular route "looked like the same deal" but apparently NOT.
Front tired slammed down almost to the hub i felll off, i literaly had to use both arms PRYING and pulling to get my front tire unstuck.
No damage, the wheels fine and ive only got a scuffed forearm, i figured is one was was safe to ride over the other was too. HA NOOOP
anyway DERP
i just assumed that the metal grates down the street where the same as the ones im used to riding over "looked the same", THey werent and i should have known better.
sorry if i wasnt explaing things well, metal grates = basic tic tac tosetup for metal grates on streets.

Yeah, grates, trench plates, and trolley tracks are bicycle bear traps. General good idea to avoid at all costs if possible.
i also hate curbs with the smooth metal on the edge, more than once ive tried to pop over one at too small an angle and the rear wheel just slides off and throws me on my ass

I ate **** about a month ago on some train tracks I didn't see (dark out, light was dead.) I hate crashing...
first actual ride running 45:12 (from 18) on the 725.
flats were fun. my normal spin was noticeably faster. hills weren't harder per se, but required more attention to keep momentum. ended up in the drops more than usual.
bought a pair of Avid Shorty brakes for the CX commuter.

Today I took my Senegal parrot for her first walk in the neighbourhood... and then we went for coffee.

At least the couch and the bed are put together and functional. I'd kill myself if I had to sleep on the floor again.
haha those and the tv/comp are always the first things on my list too
Even I went to the track yesterday, pfft.
Today I decided a few things :
- selling the cinelli bolt
- Changing the BMC frame to a CAAD10 (been hearing too many great things about CAAD10)
- buying sw8 wheels
- buying ultegra di2 upgrade kit (MAYBE... maybe... maybe)

Will revel in riding a sw8 sw8 road bike within a month. I have issues committing to 1 bike :|

Damn, RGNY must have been going near 30mph into those hills or something.
+1 to this. Living in SF, I've moved 7 times in the last 10 years. About to move again soon, but to a more permanent and better location. Sucks balls man.
