Bored so...

Roughly $2200, give or take a couple hundred or so. Retail, not including tax.

Bikes: everywhere

Today I realized that two of my road bikes and one of my MTBs have backwards spoke counts.

36f/32r on road bikes.
32f/28r on the MTB

Also realized that I still love Die Antwoord. (NSFW)

sounds like a shop i went to before i decided to build my bike by myself

they wanted $1300 for essentially the same eighthinch scrambler beater i spent about $500 building
i wont name names but they gave me a breakdown of all the prices and costs and everything except the pedals i found for cheaper, and i still came in under half their cost after shipping charges

was the price for the parts added up at their cost? then the 15% markup + $70 labor added to that? this would be fair, a 15% mark on parts is very low.
on the other hand, if they charged full retail for all the build parts & then added the extra 15% + labor on top of that, it is definitely a screw job.

btw...earlier today i bonked

No. They charge the price of the parts added up at their outlandish retail price (which was typically wholesale X2) + $70 labor with 15% tacked on to everything at the end.

Example: that Pake I built would end up costing $1149 by their prices. Ridiculous.

Me and my son took a trip upstate to Performance and bought like $75 worth of stuff. Gave me like $22 back into my performance account.

Nasty ass things. I would have happily given you all of my halloween whoppers, mumonkan. (Which I would have only had in my bag if the person answering the door just gave each person a random handful, rather than letting us choose.)

No, he only has what I mentioned because he got a deal when they came out.

Honestly I don't even understand the allure of the tool set. They're cool though, no doubt.

Basically got the front half of the house (including the kitchen!) unpacked. AND we found this sweet-ass table and chairs on c-list for 50 bucks!

Never knew I was so hip.

IDK, having the freezing and boiling points of water at 0 and 100 degrees makes a lot of sense to me.

Bikes: See my sig...

Spent the afternoon volunteering at our new north side co-op... it is great to have this new community shop in the inner city although it can be a little more interesting and we have had to make it pretty clear to some people that we do not buy or pawn bicycles.

Today I also had to make it very clear that you do not ever get into my face because you think you are some kind of badass and after that the day went well, think I made a few new friends... and I like being tipped with good beer too.
