yeah that's why I ignored it initially, it seeming to grow and then spread outward is what made me nervous. selling it soon so also needed to make sure on that

yummygooey 06-25-12 03:39 PM

If it were structural you'd probably have a broken face by now.

Ultraspontane 06-25-12 03:46 PM

This dry heat is murder...

There is no heat near here.

It looks scary to me. Kinda similar to the crazing that occurred when I bent my Nitto Promenade bar.

yummygooey 06-25-12 04:42 PM

There is no bend though.

Today I am in my last day of my Ruby programming class. (Crash course, 2 hours per week for 4 weeks.) Next week we start with a framework called Sinatra and the way the instructors are talking about it, I'm pretty psyched.

jimmytango 06-25-12 06:11 PM

Did that class ever get better?

RGNY 06-25-12 06:21 PM

sold off/donated a bunch of random parts and decided i needed a low budget singlespeed project.

will be able to use up much of the remaining parts bin, with this as the basis:

Today the guy that I was supposed to help train for endurance wussed out and bailed on me and did not bother to let me know until an hour and a half later. :notamused: So wound up putting in 40 miles. Was assured that it was on for saturday. I can assure you of this, 15,000 feet of climbing at a hard pace on Saturday, to make me wait that long is inexcusable.

Weighed my Kilo today, with a luggage scale. 20.66lbs. Size 55cm, all stock, with only the front brake on.

In retrospect, my size 61cm (hand me down, made to work) specialized secteur, weighed in at 21.22lbs. aluminum frame, carbon fork (aluminum steerer).

Was surprised at how light the massive secteur is.

The kilo will be closer to 15lbs when done, as per manufacturers weights +5%. post wheelset, that is.

edit: also, I guess the UPS guy needed to use my torque wrenches for a couple days.... <__<

I retract what I said in my thread. Make the bastard suffer.

So, my restaurant had a bottle of 2011 Dark Lord that no one wanted (we are burnt out on it haha) so I'm making Dark Lord ice cream out of it.

This weekend, I skidded for the first time. Well, it was on gravel, but it's a step.

Went to da beach. Got da sunburn. My wrist almost works again, hopefully I'll be able to ride this week.

Yeah, then wandered down to Venice to check that out. Venice was weird.

yummygooey 06-26-12 09:02 AM

Today I rode to 20ish miles to work. Apparently I can't ride faster than storm clouds. lol'd.

jdgesus 06-26-12 10:38 AM

still dry down here. (for now)

zoltani 06-26-12 11:37 AM

not anymore

Today I, couldn't find the damn chainring bolt tool I bought a few weeks ago. -_-

LesterOfPuppets 06-26-12 12:02 PM

The other day I found a Park chainwhip/pedal wrench that the volunteer coordinator @ the nonprofit bike shop had ordered months ago. It was still the shipping package and everything, under the drills in the bottom drawer of the tool box.

He was stoked.

I was subsequently stoked cuz it has much better leverage than my 15mm open end wrench.

Today I went out on my bike during my lunch break to visit a friend who works at Patagonia and do a little shopping at nearby stores. It was a perfect day for a lunchtime spin, and I think I should do this more often. Usually I just eat lunch at my desk.

I am wearing a full, flowy skirt today so I tied a knot in the corner to gather up the excess fabric and keep it out of the chain/back wheel. Worked well, except now the skirt is wrinkled all funny. Oh well, worth it.

hamfoh 06-26-12 12:55 PM

today it is 108 outside with 35% humidity. recovery day...
