The only way to mountain is wearing a christmas sweater. And those rocks to the side look pretty jagged, painful even under the padding.
Still looks sweet.

Today while out doing a few errands after closing the shop I stopped in at Five Guys to grab a burger. Seated a few tables away from me were a typical meathead 20-something year old construction worker-type dude, his wife (I'm assuming) and their kid - who was about two years old and throwing a sniveling/whining/crying/pouting/yelling tantrum the entire time they were there. Naturally, he was giving me the stink eye like I was somehow offending him by being alive.
As I got up to leave and walked by their table he said "Hey, how do you sleep with those things on your head?", pointing at my dreads. I stopped and said "How do you sleep with that thing in your house?", pointing at his kid.
Game, set, match.

Of course not, haha. I don't even know what the hell that thing is, even with videos and all, I'm still clueless.
Still kicking.
I know where it belongs (jackass thread).

So I guess I'm trading my bike for a macbook pro and 1500 bucks. Gonna resell the laptop.

Today we worked on a new rack for the Pugsley that we hope will go into production... was so nice to work in the shop with the wood stove fired up and to have such a nice view.
Saw a fox cruising along down by the pasture, was probably looking for mice.

Today I finally broke loose a stuck seat post! I took on the challenge about a year ago, doing several 20 minute sessions a day over a period of about a week. Gave up, forgot about it. Then I took the bike back home with me the last time I went to my Dad's, and finally got to it again tonight.
Tried the seat in table vise method first, then the last resort was the vertical hacksaw slit. Tonight I resorted to hot-cold with hairdryer and cool water, and then finally stuck a big drill bit in the hole, attached to a hammer drill. That weakened the inner wall of the seat post and I was finally able to twist it out with pliers and a few more hot-cold flashes. A total of probably 4-5 hours of labor, but the sense of relief feels really nice.
It was aluminum/aluminum on a pretty mediocre Fuji Finest, but I've been needing to sell this bike forever and finally I can sell it in good shape/clear conscience.

Made my first d&b track tonight, and then accidentally deleted it. It wasn't bad, either. I mean, it wasn't good, but it wasn't terrible haha.

OOooh, it's as fast as a DJ bike with 140mm fork going up hill!
I dunno how that dude doesn't take a massive header going over that pothole.
