Did the nurses at the hospital make fun of you for going in about a spider bite? And can you now climb up the sides of buildings?

Brown recluse spider bite:
http://brown-recluse-spiders.net/bro...ider_bite1.jpg NSFL if you have a weak stomach.

Not knowing what kind of spider bit him, and having quite a dense population of recluse spider is MA, I'm pretty sure they didn't make fun of him.

Not according to wikipedia. But this was something that was in a box that had been shipped to him, so for all we know it was one of the things from the arachnophobia movie.

google chilean recluse. it also produces a massive necrotic wound, like most recluse spiders.

recluse is a pretty broad category.

oh god, why

Nagrom_ 05-10-12 01:34 PM

I'm sorry, but I left a warning...
I'm just saiyan, if I ever get bit by a spider, that's the first thing that comes to my mind.

I'm going to a ****ing hospital.

No, they said it was smart that I did, especially considering I didn't really know what bit me and the reaction I was having. I most likely wouldn't have gone if it didn't get so swollen within and start to feel hot within minutes. I even had a little bit of a fever last night.

Our storage area at the shop is literally a stone-foundation basement in a 300 year old building 50 feet from the ocean. There's most likely a lot of nasty creepy crawlies living in here.

What do you mean "now"?

Scrod, I have another fashion opinion question for you. Going to build a 55cm 722. I wanted red, but there are no more red. My options are green, blue, silver, or gold. Black Sun CR18 wheelset(silver spokes, black hubs). IRD Defiant Crankset. Chrome lugged fork. Black seatpost/stem/bars/headset/spacers. I was confident that this setup would look good on the red, but I'm not so sure it'll look as good on the other colors. Thoughts/opinion?

Scrodzilla 05-10-12 03:08 PM

Blue.

ddeadserious 05-10-12 03:10 PM

Blue it is, thanks.

Soo__Fuego 05-10-12 03:54 PM

Can I open Shimano freewhels to grease them?

Scrodzilla 05-10-12 04:01 PM

You're better off just squirting some medium-weight oil inside it.

who do you use to make your custom RG shirts?

mashtofu 05-11-12 04:16 AM

I've been meaning to ask you, what's up with that lil kangaroo you sent in my last order? Is it some kind of bonus prize for spending as much money as I did? Would I have gotten a larger kangaroo if I bought even more stuff? How did you know I love kangaroos? Is it supposed to be a bike mascot for my upcoming tour? Am I crazy? Is this real life?

Scrodzilla 05-11-12 06:43 AM

All of the above.

:)

In the very beginning I was printing them myself, as I had been a screen printer for about 12 years. Then Jakprints in Cleveland was doing them. Now they're done by a local printer whom Angie and I are friends with.

Any chance of a 32C Pasela fitting my 722 with the RG chrome lugged fork, or should I plan on 28C?

28c was pretty tight, in the chrome fork, as is -- not scrod

Scrodzilla 05-11-12 02:58 PM

Not the same fork either.

You shouldn't have any trouble with a 32c Pasela.

ddeadserious 05-11-12 03:00 PM

I am referring to this fork, not the Leader fork, just for clarification.

Thanks!

hamfoh 05-11-12 03:33 PM

oh I didn't read RG. man I derp all over scrod's thread

Sherblock 05-11-12 09:33 PM

would sram omniums fit on a 722?

Edit: I see that they do. I guess since I'm here, what's a GXP BB?

Scrodzilla 05-11-12 11:06 PM

In short, GXP is a system that uses external bearings - as opposed to bearings being inside the BB shell - and a spindle that is directly connected to the drive side crank arm.

See here:

http://www.sram.com/truvativ/technol...bottom-bracket

For what it's worth, I happen to think it's not a very good design for fixed gear use.
