I'm seriously considering going with a raw powerdercoat finish on my vintage Stumpjumper. A local company called Groody Bros. does powdercoat/frame modification, and if the stuff they've posted on Facebook is any indication, they do a fantastic job. Might cost a bit to ship though.

Hey Scrod I was wondering if you had any advice on installing the zero stack headset for leader. Also I was wondering if the 2013 735 headtubes were "faced" (is that the right term not to sure).

Dang but $125 is like 25% towards another frame already.
I've briefly considered powder-coating, but the cost... |
Plus the cost of getting your bb shell/headtube faced.
That being said I'm still for the idea. |

Use a headset press like you would with any other headset.
Most of the Leader frames I've seen have been good to go out of the box. |
Anytime, man!

Lol that's like 68% of the frame cost. If you got your frame in the citygrounds blowout like I did. I'm pretty sure you did.

What does good beer taste like? Is it worth it? (inb4 jdg)
|
How am I going to answer that?
|
When you said the tire bead jack was safe for carbon wheels if I was careful, what exactly did you mean? What should I be careful to do/not do?
|
Don't be heavy handed. If it feels like you're forcing it, you are.

Any shop can get them very easily. Let me know if you have any trouble.
Gettin in trouble. No luck with the LBS; they said they can only get in in white. Tell Angie thanks for contacting All-City for me; how long do special orders usually take? I've got ants in my pants |
This is already being discussed via e-mail so there's no real need to post here. I'll let you know as soon as we hear back from All-City, I promise.

Should I use this fork until the repaint this spring and then get a better fork?

The Crank holder-in bolt on my non drive side keeps undoing itself and loosening my crank and then the crank starts to wobble then I get a power-cranks type scenario going on. Should I grease it? Loc-tite it?
I'm torqueing it down to spec, and it keeps loosening, with old and new cranks. |

thats easy if you have tasted PBR, Bud or Miller etc thats not what good beer tastes like |
Yeah, but there's still an order of preference for me. I'll take a miller lite or PBR over bud light any day and Coors original over Budweiser. I really can't remember the last time I went out and bought a pack of any of these.

**** beer snobbery. |
coors is my least favorite beer of all time. one sip can drive me to nausea
|
It's funny, I love High Life but hate Coors and would rather not even think about beer than drink anything Budweiser.
