Moving any heavier object will require more effort. Riding a heavier bike will feel like you're riding a heavier bike, not like you're pushing more gear inches. It may sometimes give a similar overall feeling (like when climbing a hill) but it's not the same.

hahaha no. flying pigeons are kinda sweet though. its an '81 schwinn world tourist singlespeed/coaster brake bike. swapping out the sprung saddle and northroad bars for road drops and a concor lookalike.
cool, i kinda figured that made sense. im probably going to run 17-44 on it.
i had this dude on ebay that had 36h 27" alloy coaster brake back/QR front wheelsets for like $120, but he ran out of shimano coaster hubs and said he'd hit me up when he gets some more. when i get them i'm probably going to take them to my lbs to make sure theyre true and dont go out of true(flexing the spokes and stuff). im lazy, i just want a lighter bike cause i hate carrying the heavy ones up the stairs to my friends apartments haha
edit - so it would be easier to pedal on the lighter bike. OK. this is very logical, and pretty much what i wanted to confirm haha.

Let me know if you have any trouble getting that wheelset. I may be able to work some magic.

Dude, this one barely makes an audible click. When turning the freehub with my hand, I think I can feel it more than I can actually hear it.

Yeah, those hubs are awesome. Angie's got the same front hub on her Leader 721.
BTW - she built your front wheel today.

got any 36h 90mm quick release front hubs with an 8mm axle(i think)? 90s seem hard to find. i could just cold set it with an allthread+nuts and that would probably be fine too but i dont really feel comfortable doing that

Hey Scrod I just got a ticket for riding brainless and I have to bring my bike to the station to get it written off . My question to you is what's the cheapest drilled fork that I can run on my Kagero to get this ticket written off and keep in my garage until the next time a bored city cop decides to hassle me ?
