It's tricky sometimes because the measurement of the bolt is taken between the two outer flanges. Measure the part of your QR that goes inside the frame and go from there. It will be ok if you get one that's a couple of MM too short.

My rear tire is worn, my lbs told me to just rotate the front and back. The front tire is still is pretty good shape, the rear has developed a consistent flat spot all around. If I have a new tire, should I move the front to the back and put the new one on the front? Or just replace the back with a new tire and leave the front? Thanks.
|
I would just buy a new rear tire.

I like dealing with LBS, just like people better than keyboards
Do u think a Raleigh Rush at $475 is a good 1st fixed gear, dont wanna jump right into a $700+ track fixie or it in my best interest to go Kilo TT Pro? |
scrod, did you get my pm regarding a frame size change?
|
Yeah. I thought I wrote you back but I must have gotten sidetracked.
|
Got my order today, everything looks good. Pumped about that sheep.
I know you've mentioned it before but I forget these things. What should I prep the spoke threads with? Last time I built a wheel at the shop, the manager told me to prep them with the green Park grease but that sounded funky to me. Any other wheelbuilding tips? I will be building them myself at home and taking them in for my manager to help tension and true them. |

I've got a note posted at the shop and will let you know when we place the next order with Dolan. Should be pretty soon.

You did. I'll look into it.

If I plan on using my current pair of 25.4mm bars for a long time in my 26mm stem, can I just epoxy my nitto shim to the bars essentially converting them to an actual 26mm pair of bars? I feel like this will give me a little peace of mind when it comes to possible slippages.
|
You don't need to epoxy the shim to the bars. Stop overthinking it and just use the shim as it was intended.
|
OR!
just epoxy the bars to the stem. Hows that for peace of mind? |

Hey Scrod if I switch out either the front wheel on a fuji feather to a 650c/the fork to a freestyle fork/or both will it have clearance to barspin?

Scrod - I'm getting tired of my track drops and I'm going to change it up - should I go for risers OR persuit style bullhorns... I'm leaning bullhorns since I do like to put a little distance on my bike sometimes and they are more versatile position wise.
Thanks in advance. |
Risers and pursuit bullhorns couldn't be more opposite from one another. I have no idea which you'll find most comfortable.

I've a kilott coming which currently sells with just a rear brake.
Is it possible to adapt a rear brake for front use with different bolts? Or will I need to buy a new brake? |
