yummygooey 04-09-13 05:36 PM

It's like 20g heavier than the archetype...

Scrodzilla 04-09-13 05:47 PM

If it matters, A23s can be used tubeless.

A23s are my backup rim for now :thumb:

why is the brake track so narrow on them tho?

lmariach 04-10-13 09:06 AM

Scrod,

Is there any significant difference between MKS Urban Platforms and White Industries Urban Platform that would justify paying 4x the amount for them? I understand that White industries are american made and machined but other than that they seem identical. MKS is aparently lighter as well.

If you can get Stans for cheap, why are you asking about other rims? I love my stans, they're crazy light and stronger than I expected.

I've never seen the WI pedals in person. At that price, I don't give a crap about them.

Yeah, having options is terrible. Everyone get off my spoon and do what FixedDriveJess does.

Where did Scrodzilla come from?

Scrodzilla 04-10-13 11:46 AM

There was a thread here a long time ago where people explained their usernames. If you can find it, I'll mail you a cookie.

gregjones 04-10-13 11:57 AM

Scrodzillas are a mature form of Scrodetts.

gregjones 04-10-13 12:00 PM

After that, how much should I tighten the front axle nuts on this fork with carbon dropouts. Everything else I have has aluminium inserts. Thanks.

The easy answer is 'you'll know when to stop'. Most people use an insanely unnecessary amount of torque on their axle nuts and as long as your wheel isn't going to fall off, it's good.

Seriously, just don't attack it with a ham-fist and you'll be okay.

gregjones 04-10-13 12:25 PM

Thanks.
