Both are excellent tires. The T-Serv is basically a Pasela PT with beefed up sidewalls.
If it makes any difference, Ribmos do ride a little bit more harsh that T-Servs.

This thread inspired me to take a look at the bottom cut of the clamp on my 2015 725; sure enough, there is a crack. I'm in Boston and use a winter beater, so, there are definitely fewer than 150 miles on it...bummer.

Scrod,
On your site a 110mm bottom bracket is recommended for the IRD Defiant for most set-ups. What chain line does that produce, 45 or 42? Now, before you stab me in the eye with a rusty spoke for being anal about chain line,
I'm asking because I'm dealing with a frame that has BB shell that is offset about 4.5mms. Thanks.

Hey Scrod, road into work today and the "non-drive" side crank was loose...again... I already did the nail polish thing and torque, but it seems to have worked itself loose again. I checked the crank arm and it doesn't look rounded out. Go with the locktite and retorque? I am thinking its time to start replacing parts...
This bike is only a rain bike/beach/store commuter. What exactly do I need to replace? Bottom bracket, crank, etc...?
I have searched around and seen people say, replace the crank, crankset, bottom bracket and/or just all of it....your opinion is greatly appreciated.
Bike specs:
Specialized Bicycle Components
CASSETTE FREEWHEEL
Shimano 16t freewheel plus 16t fixed gear cog
CRANKSET
Sugino Comp, five arm, polished arms
CHAINRINGS
42T CNC Zen Messenger
BOTTOM BRACKET
Sport cartridge, square taper, 68 x 103mm

Hey Scrod,
Can you confirm these measurements for the EAI black delux 1/8 cog? Chainline on Bicycles without Derailers
I'm currently chain line obsessed and was thinking of throwing one of these on my formula hub to move my chainline out a little compared to what I have now. Currently i'm running an all-city which i suspect is made in the same factory as the surly cogs because they have the same measurements. The all-citys are 7.4 mm thick. Sheldon's site says the EAI cog (doesn't specify which one) is 8.24 mm thick, which would be a good fit for me.
Yea, I guess I could just add a 1mm spacer but why not upgrade to a famous cog while i'm dickin around right?

The good: they are responsive, polite, and more than willing to honor the warranty claim.
The not-quite-as-good-but-understandable: they wont acknowledge it as anything other than a unique anomaly. Which ( if this is a design flaw) means I could very well be repeating this process 200 miles from now. We shall see!
