Tell me about it. I have lower back issues so severe that I can't get within eight inches of touching my toes. That is why you see the bars on my bikes set very high. When I ride on the drops, my back angle is about 45 degrees, instead of the normal flat back of someone with good lower back flexibility. When I'm racing, I push just as much air as someone who is a foot taller than me. Needless to say, I always sucked at time trials.

I tried that position and it was causing me all kinds of wrist pains. I wonder if a shorter stem would have resolved some of that?
