you guys are ***n CRAZY. The fork is absolutely not bent, and the frame requires a 27.2 seatpost which is precisely what I have. After reading the Serrota decoded thing it seems like it's most likely an '84. Guess it doesn't truly matter though because it's a great fit for me and rides smoother than your bike so yeeeeeah.

If this is a hand built frame -- and it certainly appears to be -- the slot may well have been cut with a single hacksaw blade (I usually use 2 two blades in one handle, but that's just me). The slot is not fully closed. The seat post appears to be securely clamped. Where's the problem?
