Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yeah, I know a few guys who've done it.

Zipp, and Mavic were their names.

Bikes: good ones.

Open Pros have been holding up fine for me, and our streets suck.

I would want to try an A23 eventually though.

$90 for a wheel cover? Would the aero advantage even be close to worth that?

The Mavic Comete is one of the lightest wheels I have ever held(its hard to tell if they are in a wheelbag), but generally the weight of a disk does not matter much.

I'm probably gonna give that disc a shot within a few weeks.

There might be clearance issues with the chain. I'll report back with details.
