Mostly aesthetic reasons. They're too bulky and chunky looking for me. The plastic screams of cheap, the material they use strikes me as the same stuff they use with sterillite storage container lids. Not to mention profile is all too proud of said cage and scrawl a bigger than needed logo on both sides of each.

Haha I didn't say anything against their usefulness and utility. It would be the complete opposite of what I said about it from a aesthetic standpoint; one of the most functional cages out there. They really bite down on bottles with the built in elastic bands. And if free, I would take them.
