Bikes: 1985 Cannondale SR300, 1987 Canonndale SR800 Black Lightning, 1988 Cannondale SR500 TEAM CREST,1992 Schwinn Paramount PDG Series 3, Volume V6 Cutter,

I picked up the Crux frame including headset. It is in amazing, amazing shape. With it I got a box of parts that had the following
Sram Apex Shifters
Sram Apex Rear Derailleur
Sram Apex Cross GXP Crank Arms
2 complete sets of TRP EuroX canti's... Im not saying front and rear, Im saying 2 front and 2 rear.
1 set of Specialized Tracer Tires
+ more I havent really had much time to look through it.
I got it all home slapped some wheels on it and a stem just so the fork wouldn't fall out. I got it all for $400.00 from a guy I met at a bike swap meet a few month back. Needless to say he hooked me up! My debate now is to put a shimano 105 crankset and front derailleur (it will work with the sram) or just got out and buy a new crankset and front derailleur...

Thanks man, I really havent been this pumped for a build in a long time. I might be racing DK200 with a sponsored LBS team that I am really close with. If that happens we will be riding on some custom Kona Jake The Snake's during the race. We will see shortly though.

While I hated the article, I'd be said businessman and no, I'm not in Germany.

Ordered a Dolan Pre Cursa frame for my daughter. Despite my expectations they're having a clearance sale.

Bikes: See my sig...

Today my wife and I recovered a stolen bike that had been taken from my friend's garage... it was hard for me to miss one of my babies (I built this bike up) parked outside the homeless shelter and thankfully I had no trouble with the tall kid who said it was his.

I mentioned that if he wanted to take it up with the police they were on the phone (and the main station is a block away) and I had my u-lock in the other hand in case anyone wanted to get uppity.

F'rs stripped the fenders, studded tyres (dedicated winter bike) new B&M headlight, and centre stand which were worth $250.00 and bet they had no idea what they were tossing.

Called my friend and he is a happy man who has his bike back.

Today I tinkered around the new car build, just need my buddy now to get the tuning dialed in with his tuning laptop.

Today the caad ate itself.

My rear brake caliper catastrophically failed and shot pieces of metal through both sides of the sidewall of the tire.

Time to send an email to Planet X.

That's just the bike showing it's affection for you. Bikes are quite the interesting organisms.

Think of it as a golden opportunity to replace it with this:

Incorrect. Those bikes are meant for riding on pavé and other extremely rough road surfaces.

i don't ride a jake, i ride a rove. and i can tell you a lot about the jake because i do ride them from time to time, but the rove is way less race oriented and much much heavier. the jake is a super quick, light, versatile race bike.
