The ladyfriend wants me to teach her how to build wheels since she is going to teach me drive a stick-shift. This is an excellent trade. She also happens to have a 650c wheel road bike so it will be nice for her to have a quality wheel rather than the POS pair spoke junk currently on the bike.

Today I cooked a turkey and fed my in-laws.
And I started drawing up some new brevets for the Ontario Randonneurs.

Wanted to get a good 50-60mile ride in today, instead I rode over to the skatepark and skated for the first time in 9~ months. Feels good, I still have tricks though a bit sloppier than before.

I think I'm more tired from the 3 hour skate sesh than I would be from a big ride.

Yesterday I put in a 4hr, mostly chill, ride with pancakes as the half-way point. I got to ride my road bike off-road (which is like my favorite thing to do ever). It was a really good day.

Today, after more than a year, I had my first bike accident on campus. I was hit by a freshman that didn't know how to bike circle and didn't even say sorry after ramming straight into me and derailing my chain . Luckily I was paying attention so I didn't fall off my bike even though the chain caught on my frame and locked up my rear wheel.

Dude, that's a dumb idea if you've already gone as far as you are. I thought about doing the same thing.

Yeah, I know. I'm still earning a degree I don't want either way, in a field I don't want to work in.

Gotta talk to some people at school.

Today I grow more tired of dogdick hoods on these brake levers.

what makes you think that you're gonna wanna finish in a few years? If you want to at all, just do it and get over it. change majors if you must.

If you don't know what you want, maybe some time off is a good idea. If you want to do anything scientific, technical or engineering professionally, don't worry too much about specificity as any BS will push you in the right direction and your degree is only really worth your first job anyway
