Today I had the last piece of the puzzle for project Shreddie Merckx delivered. ETA next week before it's on the road.

today i decided that its time to start spending all my money on tattoos, 2014 is the year of ink

Dannihilator 12-17-13 05:50 PM

Today I put in an hour and fourty minutes on the trainer.

Mumonkan 12-17-13 07:05 PM

today the ice saga continues. starting to get annoying.

GuitarBob 12-17-13 08:03 PM

Sherbock, congrats! Great hippy school in a terrific hippy town.

spRice, don't be too disappointed, winters in western Oregon can be tough with all the rain. I did some of my schooling at Oregon State in Corvallis (wildlife biology) and we sometimes had to dash to east of the Cascades primarily to get some sun after weeks without!

That's a good point. I get frozen in our mild and mostly dry Davis winters :p.

Bay area winters are hell.

I had to scrape my windshield off a little last weekend.

I had to take my leg warmers off last night because it got too warm. It was awful.

Nagrom_ 12-17-13 08:33 PM

I was actually kidding. I don't own a car.

TejanoTrackie 12-17-13 08:39 PM

Today I rode my Soma Rush with just a light jacket and bib shorts. It was horrible.

Dannihilator 12-17-13 08:46 PM

I'll take the northeast. Each season provides it's own challenge.

Nagrom_ 12-17-13 08:55 PM

What's a "season"?

Dannihilator 12-17-13 08:57 PM

Winter, spring, summer, fall.

spRICE 12-17-13 08:57 PM

I don't even know anymore. I'm home for the holiday (CA foothills) and it was 70 degrees out. There has also been snow on the ground for over a week.

Thanks guys! I feel awesome about it.

even though Davis sucks (geographically), you guys have a killer WCCC collegiate cycling team, as you have discovered.

also UCD is a good school too. what u study?

UCD rocks! I'd be strongly considering it, if I hadn't spent my entire lifetime here.

Maybe that's why you should consider it?

Just saiyan.

Mumonkan 12-17-13 09:21 PM

i like seasons but i could do without the extreme end of winter.

dat bay area tho.

TejanoTrackie 12-17-13 09:24 PM

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Be taught by my grandparents, live with my parents, sounds like a plan.

One of the reasons I got the trainer was to avoid the bitter cold, snowy days, it's paying off merely on the fact I can keep my right shoulder warm and pain free.

That would literally be the reason why I'd go elsewhere.

Sherblock 12-17-13 09:35 PM

Plus, and I don't know if you've ever been to Davis, but there isn't much to do here if you're under 21.

Maybe go smoke some pot or something? See a movie? There ain't much else.

It generally doesn't matter where your college campus is.

Drugs, sex, and alcohol is everywhere.

Sherblock 12-17-13 09:41 PM

No, I know, it's a huge college, but I'm saying that outside of that it isn't a very happening place.

Or at least it wasn't for me growing up. Davis has been soured for me because I grew up here, and want something else. Maybe I'll come back. Later, though.
