I finally upgraded my headset. Went from a pitted Cane Creek S2 (I had been running for around 2 years) to a Chris King NTS.

For starters it has a positive sloping TT, so a good reasonable amount imo w/ compact drops and +10 stem.

I can get into specifics once I get home back to the paper I did it all on.

Nah. It's ok, I was just curious. I like an almost level bar with deep drops as on my Straggler. I have it lowered about an inch from the top of the steer tube and I may keep it intact for future brevets. Or should I just cut it and flip the stem when needed? oh the vanity(even though I have a huge spacer stack)

Venge is cool. Post some pics when you get it.

Speaking of wheels, I scored these today for a killer deal:

Darn close to new aside from the dust.

No idea what to do with them.

Took apart every component of my fixed gear. I cleaned out all the pieces and brushed clean the insides of the frame. I weighed most of the pieces in Lbs, oz on my food scale.

3 6.7 REAR WHEEL (18)
3 1.2 FRONT WHEEL
5 11.1 FRAME & FORK
2 5.1 Sram BAR & BRAKES + BRAKE LINES
1 1.2 SEAT & POST
14.2 Sugino RIGHT CRANK & CHAINRING (50)
7.0 Sugino LEFT CRANK
10.9 BOTTOM BRACKET (Shimano 113mm 36x24)
10.8 CHAIN
6.2 Campi Veloce FRONT BRAKE
6.0 Campi Veloce REAR BRAKE
1.9 Shimano BOTTLE CAGE
2.7 NUTS, BOLTS, WASHERS, & MISC.

85.0/16 = 5.3125 lbs + 14lbs =
19.3125lbs total

I am now thinking about buying some new pedals and then putting it all together again.

I started riding at 6:30 planning on riding 80 miles but met some riding buddies as I was headed home. Ended with 94. Tired can't understand why.

4hrs and 2300kj's later... I'm tired. It's funny how easy 200w feels at the start of a ride, and how much of a struggle it is near the end.

Up next: EAT ALL OF THE THINGS

today Mumonkan bailed on me so I did 30 miles solo.

I would probably have slowed him down anyways; I need to get my legs back in the game.

also my friends sister texted me asking if I "ever thought about being with her"... yowzzaaa. not too sure how to respond to that one.
