My life has gotten substantially better now that I commute via bike more often than by car. AZ drivers make me want to run them down, drag them from their cars, and curb stomp their skulls American History X style.

Today I; strava

Fell over at the 19mile mark, tried to go up on a curb and didn't angle it enough. Fell to the left, hurt my left hand, somehow my right bar plug broke, luckily I was going slow so it wasn't bad. Did suck to do the bulk of the climbing on a hurt hand, but my sissy self made it somehow.

Bikes: See my sig...

Lets see... did a parts run today to pick up some gorgeous Mavic MA40 rims for a wheel build, hung out with my friend, took a big assed nap, went to critical mass (a polite affair here), and then came home to relax and enjoy some whiskey.

Today I lost my wallet with 40 bucks and my Debit card in it. Other then that the day was great. Called the bank to close the account so I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Today I found a sweet bike shop to help my mom find a bike. Also I got clipless pedals to put on my own bike when I go back home.

Just got back from doing my first fixed metric century. Around 5200 feet of climbing, I didn't wuss out on the route that's for sure... feel great now, but probably won't like walking tomorrow.

Bikes: 2013 Leader 725, 2012 Windsor Clockwork Plus

Today I had a date with the Leader. Rode it in the rain for the first time (cut the ride short as the rain got too hard). I found a sweet spot on my saddle that made it much more comfortable and moved the saddle ~1cm forward to place that spot where my butt ends up. Raised its bars 2.5mm and cut all the excess steerer tube. Then, gave it a bath and typed this.

Seriously, you are living the life. If you take a road trip north, lemme know. A glass of Canadian Rye can be waiting for you when you get north of the border.

Famous Dave's does that...please don't say that was Famous Dave's...if so, you have so much more to taste in the way of BBQ.

I am north and just a little west of you now.

Today I f'd around with a good number of my own bicycles, tweaking this and tweaking that and then my friend brought over his newly acquired Ron Cooper road bike so I could look at it and hook him up with some Dura Ace pedals to match his gruppo on the bike.

He brought me a bottle of Dalmore single malt (12 year old) and a bottle of Ricard Anise liqueur... he knows how to tip his mechanic.

I really like my Alberta Springs 10 year old rye but tonight I might have to sample the Ricard.

Yeah that Alberta Springs is good stuff. We 'accidentally' started and polished off a bottle of Alberta Premium on the weekend which is also good. Haven't had the Rickard's.

As far as I know... it often costs less in BC than it does here which makes no sense. Took some to the US on my last trip and a few people lost their minds.

Alberta Premium is also remarkably good for a 5 year old and although some say it is a good mixer, it is nice with a little ice.

If you find yourself on this side of the rocks (Alberta) we will have to enjoy a few fingers of the good stuff... I have some Amrut single malt which is to die for that I save for company.

If you like liquorice / anise then you might really enjoy Ricard.

So far today I pulled the cranks and loose-bearing bottom bracket on my Centurion project(lockring on the BB fought me). I know it looks rough but what counts is there. Plans are to repaint the frame to a same/similar white.

I don't mind Famous Dave's but there's a place here in phoenix, called "It's Thee Pitts, Again" that is some of the best bbq I've ever had. It's one of those total dives, with nasty green or flowered vinyl table cloths and pig pictures, statues, etc everywhere but the food is outstanding. The place was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and there's a giant picture of Guy Fieri as you walk in the door. It's a bit much, but the food is worth it.

Good BBQ is one of the few benefits of living in this state.

There's no good BBQ on Long Island. It's like trying to find Indian food in Kansas.

Today I was sent on a wild goose chase because apparently some one doesn't know how to look at a map and distinguish North from South. Then they got mad at me!!
