Jared I'm a well seasoned New Englander so I'm quite used to the cold weather rides.

Today I installed cleats on my new shoes. After a 5min spin through the hood at night, I am hooked, and excited to take them on a 1hr ride tomorrow morning!

I ended up purchasing these:

I got the black ones.

A couple months back, when it became apparent that I needed new shoes, I decided to try something new for kicks (pun intended) instead of a 3rd pair of Sidi Genius 5's. After some research, I decided that I wanted to purchase shoes in the $200-$250 price range, with a BOA closure system (if possible), and a sleek aesthetic, not flashy.

I wandered in to B+L bikes during a long ride up and down the coast one weekend and tried a pair on. They were comfy. I sat on them for about a week before I chose to purchase them.

They're also crazy light, which I don't really care about, but is cool I guess

Those are rad, I want shoes with the BOA system. Right now I have older adidas tri sprints that just have a big velcro strap. Not a big deal but since the shoes are mostly a breathable fabric my toes are starting to get chilly as the temp drops.

Decided over the weekend that I need to sell my car, not worth the cost for how little of mileage I put on it.

I also got insanely muddy at a cx race Saturday.

My bonts aren't really wide enough even though I sized up and got the wider width. They work for now, and will for a while, but I think I'm going to need to go custom in the very future

Stupid wide feet.

Try to avoid sizing up and get the wide width version instead for better fit.

Made lemonade today from the lemons after my wife's audi's rear bumper got side swiped by somebody pulling out of a spot too soon.

We have multiple cars but I couldn't resist the opportunity to drive one of these; rental car courtesy of their insurance:

The exterior is the best part. The interior looks like it came from the dollar store; I guess dodge blew the budget on the exterior and engine.
Too big and heavy to be nimble and "zippy". A bit unwieldly as handling goes. Blind spot galore, mirrors are essential.
But you can't blame it, it's a muscle car and we all know their native environment is the quarter mile.

I might try that out at a much later time because I spent all my money on these haha

According to the bont sizing calculator, I need custom shoes, but I don't have $500 bucks for shoes.

today i learned that grocery stores are liars.

despite the fact that ive been buying kerrygold butter for the past two months and stores are stocked with it, i went to 4 stores today to get more and couldnt find it. fed up, i asked customer service what the deal is, and apparently "they only get it during the holidays"

so what the **** have i been buying off the shelves?

ive never been so annoyed about butter in my entire life. even when the toast falls butter side down.
