Turns out he's from Medellin, Colombia (not all latinos are Mexican), and his dad used to race road bikes there. I showed him some old photos of me racing wearing a hairnet helmet, and he said I looked just like his dad. He had to get going to make other deliveries, so we exchanged phone numbers so we can keep in touch. If he shows any genuine interest in riding fg, I'll give him my Vilano, which is too big for me, but will fit him perfectly.
Awesome story!
Also got word of a guy at my work selling his old Atala road bike that I probably will want to pick up and rebuild. STOKED
But today I gave my legs a rest. Didn't ride and drove this thing for the first time in a few weeks.

Today I got in 42 miles and saw Fury.

Needless to say, I liked Dracula Untold more.

Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to maintain a rotary.

13b at 500whp for 3 years now. I change the oil and fill it up with fuel in between beating the **** out of it pretty much every day. 300hp in video>> https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=690230007729837 I have nothing against v8 cars but I would never put on in this car. I would put one in my rx8 in a heart beat if I could afford it tho haha.

Technical ability aside, parts are definitely pricier and maintenance is/ should be on the higher end of the list nowadays considering the age of these and potentially previous owner(s) neglecting it (let's face it, the majority of rx7 owners are not the original owners and finding one with the original owner selling is pretty difficult).
I've had a blown up 13b sitting on an engine stand for the past 2 1/2 years that I've been poking around in my spare time and hunting down cheap parts for from as far as japan and australia as they come up on fleabay and forums.
Definitely one of my back burner projects considering I kept it around on the whim after pulling it out of a FD headed to the junkyard which I swapped an orphaned project 2jz into I picked up cheap. Not to mention, I still have the beaten exterior to work on before that.

Cool ! My social security is going up 1.7% for inflation, but it doesn't kick in until next year, so I can't buy any biek stuff until then.

Monday I did some light weights/plyometrics, Tues I put in 10 miles, and today my glute isn't sore/in pain. Injury has been nagging for the past 2+ months is finally clearing up.

Today I came home after being stuck in the hospital for six days to have my gallbladder removed. Glad that's been taken care of, sucks I'll have to stay off the bike for a month or little bit longer.

My Rotary experience lasted five laps then I put an S2000 motor in, now it sits while I nerd out on bicycles.
