Today I started my new job. Ugh, it was so nice not having to work. I think I took it for granted, and I took my wife working for granted. I love her and am glad I can pitch in again.

It popped on the way down at speed. I heard a loud noise and felt the tire lose pressure. I got out of the saddle and pulled on the brake. I always run a front brake and was especially grateful for it today.

Today I interrupt my evening ride to take shelter from the rain in a coffee shop. I have been in wet clothes for the past four hours, needed to warm up a bit.

You don't want an FC--the carbon tubes will disbond from the aluminum lugs or the lugs will crack. I once had briefly and it was the whippiest bike I've ever ridden.

It took me 11 hours to drive back up to the bay area today. Yes, I was in the mess on the I-5 this morning when UCSD students apart of the black student union decided to celebrate the life of Mikhail Brony as he lived it.
As delinquents who protested and blocked off the entire northbound I-5 on the day before Thanksgiving AND in front of THREE hospitals. If he could see this he would be proud.

Protesters block I-5 during rush hour | FOX5 San Diego ? San Diego news, weather, traffic, sports from KSWB

I still don't get why people are so angry over this issue considering there's hard evidence that he strong arm robbed a convenience store for blunt wraps that he was gonna fill with weed (and confirmed on his autopsy) shortly before he got what was coming for him.

Because that's not how criminal justice and due process works, in addition to this being one of a myriad of cases that stem from a persisting institutionalized racism that affects millions of American citizens daily and has done so for generations.

Squat PR into depth plunges into a 20mile ride.

Have not felt a disturbance in the quads like this in some time.

Today I realized my favorite artist, Dallas Green, teamed up with Alecia Moore (Pink) and they are quite a fantastic combo:

Yeah, I knew they had that collaboration but I've been avoiding it. I'll have to check it out now, seems pretty good.

I just capped off a 15hr week with 4:40 @ 180W AP, 235 tss, 77mi, 3573' elevation.

My route was an out-and-back, with a big tailwind on the way out. I was really dreading the return home, but I met a group of 3 SDBC riders that were pulling at ~300W who let me rotate with them. That made things a lot more fun and quicker for most of the way back.

Stats for the week:
ride time: 14:49
miles: 242.1
TSS: 800
kj: 9065
elevation: 11,621ft

I did 20 miles today.. I can't bring myself to get on the trainer so I lucked out with a nice 55 degree day.

Bikes: Pinarello FP Due, Cesare track bike modified for the street.

Today I rode 22 miles on my geared bike (45°F). I spent most of the day removing the paint from the fixie I am building. With any luck I can braze in the bottle brackets tonight.

Ride Safe,

Joe

Trainers/rollers aren't bad, you just need to have good movies to watch to keep your mind occupied.

Today I'm contemplating what I'm gonna build my new track wheels with since my Christmas bonus should be coming soon.
