On the same point, a lot of industries have moved their labor to India because it's better for their bottom line. Paid a visit to harbor freight a few weeks back and upon inspection of their hand and power tools, the majority of the ranks are made in India now. Funny as Craftsman is majority Chinese made now. I went to sears the same day and found that American made Craftsman was cheaper than Chinese made Craftsman which had a sharper matte finish.

I also find it ironic, they no longer include the country of origin on either of their new casting molds to spare the user the shame.

So you bought a 61cm frame ? I didn't realize you are that tall. A year ago I bought a 43cm Windsor Clockwork on closeout for only $170. Only the very tall and very short peeps get good deals at BD.

Probably. I have the Motobecane Messenger that will easily accept 32mm tires, and I think that it is essentially the same frameset.

What size is your Cannondale? I remember hopping on it and it was way small for me.

Bike size/sizing seems to be one of those things that has changed. My new bike was sold as a 61cm, because it measures 61cm from the center of the BB to the top of the seat tube. But it actually measures 58cm from the center of the top tube to the center of the BB, which is the "old fashion" way to measure bikes.

I have always ridden a 57-58 and this bike fits fine, but I have to admit it is weird buying a frame so large. At least BD had accurate geo charts for this bike.

Me too. I raced BMX in the mid-90's when ano'd parts (especially PURPLE) were crazy big.

So does the MM. In fact, I just ordered a rear rack for mine to use it as a utility beater lockup FG.

I probably could have gotten a 63cm based off the geo measurements, but I felt comfortable on the 60cm, I don't like being stretched out. My saddle to bar drop isn't too extreme so I think the size I got suits me.

I'm a bit perplexed by this statement. All of my older bike frames going back nearly 50 years have been measured c-t. The only bike frame I've ever owned that was measured c-c has been my Wabi Lightning.
