Win98 is awesome, because it fully supports DOS programs. At the same time it supports hard drive partitions > 2Gb, which regular DOS doesn't. I have two old Win98 boxes that I mostly use to play old DOS games like Flight Simulator and Links.

Sounds like there's a new sheriff in town. Must be a BF diversity thing.

I didn't ever think I'd give up Win2k but buncha softwares decided new versions weren't gonna run on it.
I just put Win10 on my Netbook but no dice on webcam drivers yet. Really cramping my style in the vid chat arena.

Well, I've got 98 SE on both boxes, which I think is good up to 128Gb, but the hard drives are much smaller than that, so it's not an issue. IIRC, the original 98 was good for partitions up to 32Gb. One limitation is that you can't defrag a FAT32 hard drive in DOS mode, and have to do in Win98 mode using the Win utility.

Geez… just get FreeDOS and run it in VirtualBox or something.

Installed polished and refurbished O.G. Dia Compe 610's on my Steamroller and couldn't be more happy about it.
Here's the breakdown:
SRAM S500 Levers
standard lined cables and housing
Origin8 steer tube mounted front cable stop
Surly rear cable hanger
Wheels Mfg/Tektro cantilever straddle cable yoke
A pair of refurb'd 610's with shiny new repro Dia-Compe stickers from porkchopbmx.com
Kool Stop Supra 2 pads
Looks and works excellent with ample clearance for 33mm cross tires and I can stop on a dime. Legitimately stoked. The only remaining step is to install Shimano CB90 cable releases (when they arrive) and possibly play with a different brake pad so a 33c tire can clear the opened caliper while inflated.
