Impromptu day off work... I took the day off to get some dental work done in TJ with my parents (family doctor), but at the border, all three of us realized that we had forgotten our passports :lol:

Now my day suddenly has another 4-5hrs of free time, fantastic. I'm going to do a few more chores than I had planned, practice the piano, go on a recovery ride, and generally take my sweet ass time doing anything. I could go in, but I've got the PTO and I feel like Ive earned a day off.

This is great.

They created extra tasks instead of streamlining the process. I just got a bigger wrench and cranked the snot out of the axle nuts. Works perfectly.

Is this secret code for something else? haha...

I like TJ. I just never thought of it for getting dental work done. Although, my dentist when I was growing up in LA WAS in Huntington Park(East LA), so.....

Me neith, but my work switched from actual dental benefits to a lame reimbursement program, so it behooves me to spend less on dental. The office is nice and they know my extended family so I'm not as worried about waking up in some alley without any of my possessions.

Huntingonton Park probably isn't so different from much of TJ haha.

today i was gonna go into the city and try on new helmets and get some coffee and camp stuff but i stayed home and was a lazy **** all day instead.

Today I melted out on the road.

Today I was cleaning and bandaging the road rash on my hip/arse in the bathroom at work when 3 guests from a same field company walked in. Suffice it to say it was an awkward interaction.

Today I discovered the rear wheel on the Paramount needs new cones. :cry:

I installed a new headset on my Langster (Cane Creek IS41 40 series) and rode home in the misty rain and it felt good to be confident on the bike again (aside from the rain).

I will have to take pics of the crushed bearings in my old one, some scary nasty shiz! I don't know what happened initially to screw things up but whatever happened clearly was no bueno!

All I can say is they're on to/ among us.
I'm not naming names but somebody let the monkey out of the bag and now there's visitors. This is why we can't have anything nice.

If I can't have anything nice, no one can.

I don't like waiting for packages.

I am officially back to riding in 100+ heat again.

We're reaching towards the 100s as well, but with 80-95% humidity. Night riding may be in my future.

was out running errands for work in an industrial/commercial part of town and saw some dude going down the road on a unicycle.

I would love the temps near 100. Middle of June in Michigan, 76 right now, and a low of 55. Let me know when summer will actually start.
