I bought a cheap rice steamer to use in the truck. It works quick and well. The only problem is that it has a little vent hole in the lid that spits all over the place. It turned out to be too much mess and trouble in the truck......back to the microwave.

or Assos. My business partner raves about them, though I've yet to try them. We just ordered our club kit from Capo. The stuff they sent us to try out looked and felt awesome, though I'm ignorant to their long-term durability.
how does the capo feel compare to rapha? capo is $100 cheaper, which is a lot easier a price tag to swallow. i really like the bibs that are falling apart, and i'm hoping i can just get them repaired... but i think it's time for a second pair of good bibs for the rotation anyhow. however, i do want a pair of nice bibs that'll last... not a pair of nice bibs that derp it up after 6 months. |

My old club used to get their kits from Squadra, which was absolutely awful. One year the used this glued on chamois w/o any stitching, and it immediately separated from the spandex, so we found ourselves wearing them over separate liners. They finally changed over to LG, which my current club uses and we like a lot. The only problem with LG is that they run small, so if you normally take a medium, then you have to get a large size. |
I have a few capo bibs, they're older but they seem to be holding up well...getting some wear in the seat, but thats to be expected. The chamois is still fine tho.
I also recently got some twinsix bibs which I compare to capo, they seem really nice too but don't know about long term. I have no experience with Assos or Rapha yet, hopefully will get a few pairs soon. I know Assos is on the clymb on occasion at a discount. |
I only machine wash shorts once in a blue moon, they usually last me a LONG time.

Round 2 of sanding and got another one for the fork and detail work on the frame. My fingers are sore and I now know that for any future frames I intend on painting will be sandblasted.

Capo runs slightly larger than other bibs I've tried. Which is odd since it's typically known that Italian = small in the apparel department. I wear a M Rapha bib, but opted for small bibs from Capo.
The chamois felt good. It was dense without being bulky. We got the compression-style shorts and they feel well... compressiony. Really hard to tell how good they will be until I get on a bike with them. We just had a run of sizes sent to us for our members to try on prior to submitting our order (which we just did today!). I'll let you know how they are in approx 6-8 weeks ;) |

I see saddle sore city in your horizons.

I wash 'em after use, every time. No steak nuggets for me, thx.

At the very least rinse them (specifically the chamois) with hot water in the sink and hang dry... |

Yeah srsly. Is this not common? My bibs get one use before a wash. I can count on one hand the number of times I've done two rides before a wash and it's usually because I forgot on an extra pair on a trip or something.

Delicates in the wash, hang dry.

Same here. I like to get 'em in the sink ASAP after riding.

i dont have laundry at my house and the last thing i want to be assed doing is handwashing clothes in the sink when i get in from a day of hammering
i just turn everything inside out and hang dry, wash at the end of the week when i have time |
I wear mine to work, change, and then wear them again on the way home. But not multiple days. I have enough pair to make it through the week now. Although, I need a few more pair for when I get lazy on the weekend and don't do laundry.
In other news...I saw this today...might be my new favorite dog trick: |
