That's the only way to rock a commuter. El Niño, yo. Also a dynamo hub... the best.

I wish, Community Cycling Center. I'm starting with volunteering to learn the skills, then I'll probably start looking for something part-time at one of the shops.

NITTO B123CB Carbon Handlebar

Off the Beaten Path posted yesterday (1/24) that it is Nitto's first carbon bar but I'm not sure. I've seen the Nitto Mod 90 SSB carbon road bar out there for a while, at least a couple of months. It is listed as "New" at the Nitto website.

I think the coldest it got was like 45 deg? Only had arm warmers and a buff on for the descent. Pretty warm.

TMonk 01-25-16 04:38 PM

nice work @Muffin Man

Thanks! Its cool how on Thanksgiving I had a time of 2:18, and now I'm this much faster. This is probably the easy part of training where I see lots of improvement really quickly.

Mumonkan 01-25-16 09:21 PM

today i realized that ive unwittingly named all my bikes after cartoon characters.

****ing juvenile.

TMonk 01-25-16 09:24 PM

Speaking of 13 minutes, that was time time difference between myself and our star climber up Montezuma Valley Rd in SoCal, and it's only 11mi/3,500ft.

:)

CCC is tight though, I just never seem to head up to Alberta street unless I'm getting Nutritaco, which I highly recommend.

Im gonna go camping this weekend with the sqrl. holler if you're in the Austin, TX area.

TenSpeedV2 01-26-16 01:19 AM

Almost got leveled by a kid who never looked to see if anything was coming in the bike lane as he drove out in front of me. I watched him not look. Like I was watching his face, and it never turned right to see if anything was there. I used to watch the front wheels. Now I do both, front wheels and the driver if I can see them.
