This. Went to school for photography and basically right when i finished I got a job at a print shop doing blah work BUT it taught me about time management, working with others and customer relations. I can now say that I've done a lot of work for Tesla Motors and also in the movie industry doing photography work for several years now. You just gotta put yer time in and amazing opportunities will present themselves :thumb:

make a few thousand gutters then you can start making bridges and halfpipes and rocketships :) |
I was all excited because I was sure my spokes were going to arrive today, then I remembered there's no mail. :(

Taking four days off the bike next Fri-Mon to take an ex-coworker, current co-worker (high brass: Chief Scientist), a cousin and my father to my Tio's (read: uncle) place in Gonzaga Bay, Mex for a trip. The Tio will be there as well. The recreation itinerary will be primarily fishing (of course), but also some hiking, off-roading, snorkeling, and just chill shore-casting. Also beer drinking, of course.
The ex and current co-workers are experienced sports fisherman in the own regards, and are seriously excited about the trip. They're both buddies of mine that I mountain bike with regularly, and occasionally have beers with after work. I'm looking forward to the trip. Having said that, I'm trying to put in a solid T/W/Th on the bike, which may look something like this: T: 4x5' VO2 115% on Fiesta, will roll over to Soledad after and try to climb it at 100% (bout 15min I think) W: 2x30' Z4, first at 95%, second higher by feel Th: 4hrs high z2 up and down the coast, with sprints. My mgr said that I can come into work late so I'm in the clear. |
Today I really want to get some more time in on my rollers. Finally got the to point where I'm able to ride with both hands on the bars, but I'm still pretty shaky, and my cadence/pedal stroke is really off. Going to start actually timing how long I stay on, I'd really like to get some video and see how I progress as time goes on.

When I went to college they put rollers up on the tables at the student union. Guys got going on the rollers and drank shots. Last man rolling was the winner.
|
that sounds like fun
I miss college... All I did was ride (~15hrs/week), party, and study sometimes. |

Just look ahead when riding rollers and make sure your front drum is positioned correctly, it's as easy as riding a bike.
Today I fixed a creak I've been having with my DS crankarms under load. Just needed moar grease on the threads. |
I speak "functional" Spanish, let's say. It's a damn shame that I'm not better :(.
My dad and uncle (read: Tio) are fluent, however. Enjoy your time in Mexico rex615. Are you there for work, or personal reasons? |

Great - finally somebody else to post in "Apprezzamento zona per Cinelli" ...look forward to seeing your finished bike there soon :thumb: |
Arrived home at 2:30 am, after my wife and I spend 10 days in the Virgin Islands sailing and snorkeling on a friend's sailboat. Snow and ice at home when we stumbled from the taxi.
Upon waking and staggering to the bathroom, I realized that: (1) I have socks on - feels weird, (2) this is where I live, and (3) the room isn't pitching and rolling. |
