What I would like to know is, is there anybody here playing PoGo?

I don't understand what this whole pokemons thing is about but I hope it ends in a lot of dead morons. We need more natural selection these days ; ) |
I saw a pic of a Steamroller with purple Cook Bros cranks on it over at MTBR and holy crap I need a pair.

I played PoGo for a total of about 15 minutes. I think it's a pretty cool idea and I think it's neat how it's getting people out of the house - seeing people wandering around every park I pass on my way home from work, during summer in Phoenix, is pretty great.
The people that are too obsessed with it and forget about the world around them can be a bit annoying, but people have been incoherent of their surroundings since smart phones existed, so I can't blame all of that on the game. |
What about the oblivious people standing in the middle of a dedicated bike path at night with their noses so deep in their phones that they forget that an outside world exists?

For the most part, I'd probably scream POKEMON NO!!! at those people. |

and when one of us collides with these idiots on our bikes, we will be the ones to get sued and made into terrorists on wheels. "i was just playing a game and the mean man hit me and now i have a broken finger, so i cant work at my deskjob, waaahhh" |
Stuff like this happens.

Of course I've been playing Ingress for almost two years now too (with a couple of breaks)... |

That game is natural selection at it's best...
Nearly hit a kid who just ran into the street out of nowhere a week ago. |
Every dumb thing people do with Pokemon Go, they've already been doing for years with texting.
|
So Im not the only one who doesn't play Pokemon Go!?

I read this post earlier this evening and it made me sad that people feel this way.
In a world where people and police are shooting each other in the streets, little kids are murdered in school and terrorists are driving trucks into crowds, this just seems like more of the same. People are free to do and say whatever they want and everyone makes choices in life. I've seen people die and have held dying people in my arms. I don't wish death on anyone. I have taken a new perspective on death having gone through a lot of deaths in my family and amongst friends recently as well as seeing what we as humans do to each other and animals and my positions have changed quite a bit because of that. I am not saying people should go out and kill someone because of this pokemon thing nor for any reason as stupid as that. I am just wishing nature would do it's thing. Maybe then can we live in peace and harmony, kumbaya and all that jazz.

Which part was whacky? Vegan donuts or Pokemon Go?
Got some extras and had one before riding this morning probably not great fuel but it was good motivation to burn that thing off. |
the gene pool could do with some parsing down.
dont have to wish death on anybody, its guaranteed on admission! |
white chocolate pretzel vegan doughnuts? sounds kinda wacky to me, I'd try one though just to tell my grand kids I was adventurous in my day

Today I realized that I really don't enjoy SS bikes -- I gotta be either on a geared bike or FG
|
Second session at the track, tons of fun again. I'm slow, but I'll be working on that. Also, coming in off the rail in the corners almost made me **** myself the first couple times.

I mainly enjoy SS in mild-to-moderate offroad situations. Never road, and never super serious MTBing.
Today was the last day of short track, so I'm sad until September when cross picks up. |
Today I was notified by USPS tracking that a package was delivered to a business in zip code 92104 at 1:41 pm pst. Much anticipation. :D
