Seems like everyone on the streets got their eyes glued to their phone. It's really hard to predict some phone users movements as they stagger side to side, god forbid they look up for a minute to actually see where they're going. Had more than a few people freak out when i call heads-up to let them know i'm passing. Not trying to disrupt or scare anyone but they're just so entrenched in their phone that any call back to reality is a shock

Today I rode my Cannondale for the first time.
Pleased. |

That's a serious nail too. That thing meant business.
I now have a 24.5 spoke hole wheel. Put new rim tape on this morning at work and I'm good to go now. |

Your rim looks flared at the brake track near the puncture. Bet it pulses. |

-------- Today I saw probably the most trashed wheel that wasn't taco'd or in a crash of course it was on a Huffy and of course the guy riding it was pissed as hell at us because we refused service because the bike was in such disrepair and the wheel probably couldn't have effectively been trued, it had more hops than "Hoo Lawd". If you don't take care of your own bike to that point and take it to a professional to have work done you cannot then get angry at them for not wanting to put hands on an unsafe bike. The mechanic didn't ride it into the ground, I didn't ride it into the ground, so no need to be angry at us. If you fart and it really stinks that isn't my fault for noticing it. |
Today I did this...

Today I started debating with myself about bike #5. Found a nice condition 2011 Felt TK3 in white (which I love) in my size, about an hour from me. It has these odd HED BlackDog handlebars that I would immediately try to sell. Do I need another bike? I have 4 currently. Do I need a cheaper version of the bike I already ride the most? He has all the original parts for it, and only added a freewheel cog so he could go fixed or free. He apparently added a rear brake as well even though it really is not designed for one. That would be off first. Do I do it?

Lucky. |
The 5800 105 group is amazing -- I actually like it better than my 6800, it just shifts a little bit crisper imo
|
I just bought 6800, cranks brakes and all.
D'oh! :) |

D'oh! :) Best bang for the buck 5800 definitely does give it a run for its money though. Although there's nothing wrong if you're able to score some 6800 for a couple buckaroos more. |

Riding with a friend and got double flats and one of our spares had a hole in it. I'm sitting on the side of the road waiting for him to go to a bike shop a mile away and bring back tubes.
