^haha, we just had out first snow fall here last night, although it mostly turned to an icy slush just in time for the morning commute

Nine years?? You must have been really naughty. :p

Did 37 miles today, discovered that eating while on the bike is a good thing. Who'da thunk? Also I'm totally digging fig bars.

Racmmer Jerseys

Anyone own Racmmer jerseys? Have they held up well in the wash? They look really nice but don't cost that much, so it makes me wonder.

You forgot to use the "Today I" format.

Today I was wondering about Racmmer jerseys. Do they hold up well in the wash? I really like one in particular, but am a little hesitant to buy as they are so inexpensive. There ya go :thumb:

Today I rode in shorts and a tank top. Unlike certain Left Coast folks, I ain’t complaining. :)

seau grateau 11-25-17 08:35 PM

Texas people are weird. Today I did 20 miles suuuuuuuper easy.

Carcosa 11-25-17 11:45 PM

Today my legs were healed enough from a Thanksgiving 10k (done with no training, not a great idea) to do 25 miles fixed.

Longest fixed ride since probably May or June. It was a perfect sunny 60.

Today I had my third Thanksgiving dinner in as many days, and I am stuffed. I think I've figured out why the winter weight always comes back so fast!

GENESTARWIND 11-26-17 04:01 AM

I just had a thought. If I'm going to take out a loan for a motorcycle i might as well get another fg as well.
The only struggle will be how to decide between riding motorcycle or bicycle on days off.

Humbug

seau grateau 11-26-17 05:01 AM

Isn't it obvious?

Flatulentfox 11-26-17 11:27 PM

Tonight i hit a dog on my bike. I managed to stay up right. Screw people who dont keep them on leashes.

johnnytheboy 11-27-17 10:39 PM

today i got bored and rebuilt the wheelset on the space horse. went 3x all the way around with black spokes and silver nips. overhauled the rear hub while i was at it.

Have you ever ridden a sport bike through the twisties?
Done over a 160. Wheelies?
Definitely not obvious

Or rub your knee on the ground at +100

The faster you go around corners, the more you need to lean. Eventually you run out of room and body parts start rubbing the deck. When you are really fast you use your elbows for outriggers.

You only hit angles like that on the track. You won't find public roads in good enough condition for that kind of grip.
Besides there wear full suits with pucks specificly for that.

Not true. There are zillions of roads in good enough condition for that. It happens every weekend all over the world.

Palomar Mountain in San Diego has finely ground up sea shells in the asphalt to provide good winter grip for the residents. So does Montezuma's Grade in Borrego Springs. It provides better grip than many race tracks I've been on. The tires will bite until you start tri-podding on your foot peg.

Tires are more of a limiting factor than the road surface. Law enforcement frowns on motorcyclists who run slicks on the street. :innocent:

Don't you? You should if you are going 160+ and riding wheelies on a ZX10. No body armor = dumb.

GENESTARWIND 11-30-17 04:55 PM

That's what track days are for. But still riding in the street is very enjoyable.
