Anybody doing the Agoura Corridor tomorrow? I'm trying to talk myself into doing that instead of being lazy and doing Classy Calabasas. Agoura Corridor doesn't have any major climbs, so it might be a good way to test my distance.

ovoleg 06-01-07 10:21 PM

ya I'm doing the corridor, or w/e people decide on doing. I want to feel some pain.

urbanknight 06-01-07 10:33 PM

ok look for me. I'll come ready to try the Corridor. No more climbing than that for now, though. I do believe Mureau Rd on the way back is the worst, right?

Oh, just realized the 65 is a much different route. I was planning on the 52. The 65 still skips the major climbs, but I'm not ready to push it that far yet.

ovoleg 06-02-07 08:25 AM

dont get discouraged from the route itself, its easier than you think :)

ovoleg 06-02-07 12:33 PM

fun ride today, saw urbanbiker

urbanknight 06-02-07 02:10 PM

How the heck do you do that? We were at the rest stop in Westlake at like 10:00 and you post at 10:30???
Anyway, nice seeing you. My knee gave me crap right before the stop again. My lucky wife got to pick me up to take me home. I think I'm off the bike until I can see an orthopedist.

ovoleg 06-02-07 02:39 PM

the 5 of us hammered to no end on the way back...lol

Registration for the SLOBC Lighthouse opened at midnight. As of 8:45 it's still open.
I'm in for the hilly 100.

Anybody else? If you're gonna do it, time's running out. It's likely to be filled by noon today.

Done it 5 times. Kinda tired of the long drive/motel thing. There is a good campground across the highway from the start.

I have done parts of that ride and it is beautiful. I would love to do the whole ride some day, but I just can't plan my life that far ahead . Darn these rides that fill up so fast.

Not the prison, Herb. It's a real campground next to the golf course/driving range and it has hot showers.

It was a good time. Glad to see everyone... even though I didn't recognize half the people there!

merider1 06-10-07 09:30 PM

I'm bummed I missed it, but my non-cycling friend was going to disown me if I blew him off again for dinner to do something "bike" related (the non-cyclers just don't get it). :o

It was very nice picnic. I think 100+ people; like a reunion of all the people I rode with in the last 6 month.
and sooooo much food!!! I cam e with my 2 kids and they were glue to the disert table; of course I help them finish.
It was alot of fun with live music, games, food, and food...

Half? I've been a member since 1989 and I didn't recognize most of the people there. A lot of friends and relatives of members. Sorry I had to leave early, I was enjoying it.

vertical bob 06-11-07 08:22 AM

I had a nice time at the picinic. I'm glad I went. I recognized many people from the past but my THEY have aged.;)

merider1 06-11-07 08:31 AM

Several photo hounds in attendance... I'll like them as soon as they pop up on the club site or in e-mail. I'm not sure I would have even recognized some people, like Bob and Cathy, if it hadn't been a club event. They look so different in civies! Big John, on the other hand, is Big John. :)

herbm 06-11-07 08:41 AM

Wish I could have made it..I was pretty fried after the River Ride...

I would not have known you if it hadn't been for the goatee . I had to squint my eyes and put imaginary helmets on everybody. Gee, we all look so normal in real life.
