Where do you get these profiles?
Ovo, you now have a web page where you can add notes, upload photos and write your record... Here are some numbers from my map: It is 2.8miles from the start (807.06ft) to the highest point of 1631.66 ft ; or 824.6 total elevation gain. 2.8miles = 14,784 ft, so the global avg grade is 5.58% But the first 1.6 miles are the easy part: you get to 1053.22 ft; or 246.16 total elevation gain. 1.6miles = 8,448 ft, so we are only at 2.9%, and the rest 1.2 miles the evel. gain is 578.44 ft 1.2miles = 6,336 ft, so that last part is 9.13% grade! :D I am sure (just because I did Reseda few times) that it gets up there (or maybe even more) in some part of the (short) route. |
Thanks Shai, my one supporter :)

Well...m'boys did it: they rode the #2 ride this morning and can still walk around. Longest so far for either of them--41 miles. Next stop...Century City :D
"Stop pushing, Dad, it's not good for them...let them enjoy first..." I know, I know... |
Afternoon,
Planning on going on my first ride tomorrow morning with y'all. What are the pace and hills like on the number 2 ride? Thanks |
Need additional time for cycling
Hello folks. I was hoping to join the Agoura ride with Shai today, but could not make it. I'll make it up to Shai for flaking out on this ride hopefully next weekend.
Need more time to stay committed to cycling! By the way, I agree upon Continental making handmade road tires in Germany is 100% B |

Thanks That said, I hear (I have no first-hand knowledge in this matter) that most riders on Sunday mornings do the #1 ride and use it as a nice recovery/rest ride. They just have chores to get home to that they should have done on Saturday morning but were out riding :D I'm sure others will log in and make this even more clear. |

... We had a nice group and we extend the route a bit. Few of us, in the way back, went to SIMI first just to 'enjoy' sana sosana pass... I ended up with 85 miles (but remember that I am riding to and from CSUN 9miles each way). Photos from the ride: in my route map site. and because I takes photo at the beginning of the ride, you will find many more people than actually did this specific route, yet a SFVBC ride |
I'll make it up by leading the climbing tempo for the next ride so you burn more calories. ha ha. Or let you draft during a headwind. Great talking to ya. Have a good weekend and ride often.

Nice photos, Shai. Keep them coming. And, next time, come join us in the mts. :)
My photo sucks, but it always nice to see who came to the ride and sometimes you can see yourself or your friend... This weekend, I am going to do a 'light' ride with the CCC group. I was slaking by not doing rides with them but I have to start so I know few faces/people by name. After all the ride from SF to LA start at the end of Sep. I would love few BF or SFVBC to join me so I will have some one to chat with. If you intrested, I can post the info I got; it is usually 60miles with no more than 2500 ft |

Hey Ovo. I been missing several club rides, but I'll be joining this coming Saturday for the Hidden Valley reverse. It should be a decent ride with few rolling hills. See you around.
|
Vance, thats a new bike that was built(handbuilt by some guy in SFVBC club, I dont remember his name but I know how he looks). It's pretty nice, I saw it out last week when it was just built.
|
Yes, it is another Steve (Cassave) master piece.
Ovo, by now you should know Steve name... I am sure he will reply with "My bike have components that are older than you!" well, he try this trick on me too, but I am from the 60th so it end up as a compliment to my age :-) |

Hey, what's that bike RJ is on? Did he buy one of your old frames, Steve?
Yes. That one has been hanging like a vampire in my garage for about 12 years. Nice to see somebody actually using it again. |
