Ovo; You're thinking of Jim Valentsi.

I'm sure Jim would be happy to admit that R.J.'s bike is not one of his.

If anyone is interested/available, Keith and I are doing a longish ride on Thursday. Probably Simi to Ojai.

I'm interested, and I'd like to go, but I have to WORK. Of course, if my job gets any slower, I may be able to ride whenever I want, at least until I'm broke.
Vance, what are you doing Saturday?

None of the club rides look very interesting. I would like to get back to the mts, but haven't heard anything yet. I could do AC every week. I could also do Santa Monica Mts every week. Maybe Steve can drag us around some of the lesser known canyon roads up there one of these weeks?

Vance you scoundrel, stop training...

I don't race, so it's not training. I'm just having fun on my bike! :)

Lots of people here race.

I'm very middle of the pack, and I like riding with everyone.

How about Mt. Gleason off Big T.

I'm game. I've never done Gleason.

It's up from Mill Creerk Summit on Angeles Forest.I am thinking to start at the Lakeview Rec center at 7am. It's pretty up there with a great 360 view.

Sounds good, but I'm having trouble locating that on the map. Any hints?

Mill Creek Summit is about 6 miles north past Upper Big Tujunga on Angeles Forest heading toward Palmdale. The road to Mt. Gleason is a section of Santa Clara Divide Road that branches off there. We come over Mill Creek the other way on the 2 Tujunga's ride coming from Acton.

One of these NF roads?

West on 3N17, perhaps? I'm just guessing. I'm not familiar with that area.

Yeah that's it. It's just a few miles up the road from the Hidden Springs Cafe. Check the A.C. thread a profile was posted there that shows Mt.Gleason

Well, it's not a really long ride, last time I did it I got 77 miles and 8400ft buy adding a leg over to Clearcreek on the way back.Going the last 2 miles to Gleason would add 1000ft. There are many options to make it as long as you want. It's in the San Gabriels so every mile is quality that's for sure.

I really didn't want to do Hidden Valley today (we've done it so often), and thankfully there was a small group that wanted to do Little T. I had always thought that I had done Little T before, but no part of that road was familiar. Excellent climb, almost no traffic.

After you climbed over Little T, how did you come back? We had a fun, casual ride, and I even saw some old friends.

Kept going on Little T, Sand Cyn, Placerita Cyn, Balboa. I ended with 62. And home by a little after 11 -- those racer boys don't mess around. One quick water break at the top, and that's it!
