I'll do Angeles Crest next week, I'm glad we get a change of pace by going somewhere other than thousand oaks/simi.

We had a nice ride starting at Dock 52 in the marina to PV and back.
Some cut is short but most of us (about 25) did the ~50 miles
No much elevation (maybe 1700), yet we did have hills I saw my heart rate in the red zone for a while.
It was a fun Saturday mornning ride; You know, the one you can talk to people because you not all the time in a race or sucking someone`s wheel and see nothing else for minutes.

Just wanted short recovery ride. Still ended with 31, which is about 10 more than I wanted. Came home and slept for 2 hours. I think I've been way behind on sleep for a week. What's on tap for next weekend?

Relatively short ride today, but with the hot temperature of the coming-back-to-the-valley on sepulveda I saw new record heatrate and have to say that our SFVBC team of riders simply kick my ass.

That was just about the worst ride of the summer. That kind of heat beats me up, when I got home I was dizzy. Way to go Ovo for being the imfamous challenger.

Big turnout at the SUN of C, Shai. I just got back from Simi-Ojai loop with Mario. Keith and Stan were with us for the first half, but they went on to Ventura. There was a touch of warmth in the air. :)

Sunday short ride. I think less people came today and I assume the valley temperature is the one to blame. Photos from the ride are in the route/map page.

I see they're doing the Tour of Two Topanga Tops next weekend. I love that route so I'll be there then. I'll be scoffing at the peds around the Rose Bowl early tomorrow morning. Then it's yard work for me!!!

Me and that one guy in the Euskatel jersey took off on Sepulveda early and I got into a good pace so I just took it to the top.

At the point where it really gets steep, he dropped back and I just went all out, my HR was so high!!

When we got to the bottom it was blazing hot out. Him and I were really feeling it and there were two others and some girl, Alex. I turned off on my street and I felt really sick, like if you have had way too much to drink(liquor) and you want to throw up, thats the feeling I had.

Got home and nearly passed out. Then I went to go help my friend move...for 5 hours...ugh.

I think I'm starting in Malibu with Steve P. for a coastal jaunt. I might talk him into a canyon climb, but he's coming off a ride-less vacation, so he probably wants to take it easy. Anyone is welcome to join.

no one said anything special in the ride today about tomottow, so I assume 8:00 @ cSun for a short 2-3 hours ride in the valley. both routes (180A and 180B) maped in my site;

are you sure?? I heard Commons at 8:00 on mon by Mark, but it was kinda just out there.

I didn't ask. Maybe people talked at the end of the ride (I cut back to Encino while some continue to cSun) but I didn't here anything in the rest-stop about tomorrow

We started at the commons today at 7:30 for a nice loop over Old Topanga, up PCH and over Latigo.

It was nice along the coast and hot as hell everywhere else. LOTS of water stops but it was fun.

I went to the regular Monday morning ride at Western Bagel. Nobody showed. So I went home. :(

Seven of us went mountain biking at the end of Reseda. We went down Sullivan Canyon and climbed back up. It was shaded through most of the climb, (surprised me),until the steep part at the end. Fun change of pace, we should do more mtb rides when it cools off, if it ever does.

I took Topanga, everywhere else was hot so I was just chillin. Shai is an expert at no hands cycling I think. Then he asked us to come over so he can take private pictures of us, but we all declined...lol
