Cheap, semi-beat old Bottecchia frameset with Campy Valentino derailleurs:

Old Bottechia Road Bike Frame

Old Bottechia Road Bike Frame - $60 (Richmond) < >

BOTTECHIA ROAD BIKE FRAME $60: Old Italian steel frame. (70s?) That I started to strip parts off of to rebuild and then got discouraged when I found that the fork was fused to the stem. Still, could be busted loose, by a more capable mechanic. 57 - 58cm. Tall dude stuff, pretty with chrome accents. Comes w/ most original components including Campagnolo front/rear derailleurs and down tube shifters. Has been stored indoors since I bought it a few years ago. In good shape, minimal rust, superficial damage, etc.

Mercian on eBay.

A friend of mine says I MUST have this.... He really likes Mercians, and this is about my size. I was looking for more a full-on tourer, but this one is a beauty, IMHO. Any comments on the bike? I don't know what it will be bid up to, but current price would seem to be a bargain, no?

To me it looks like the steerer tube specifically might be what is bent, but I could be wrong. Probably need a better photo or hands on to tell for sure.

I don't understand why they'd take the pics before replacing a bunch of the consumables, but...

[h=2]1987 Centurion Ironman Dave Scott - $300 (Lakeville, MN)[/h]1987 Centurion Ironman Dave Scott

These two pictures were taken this past Saturday. Since then, I have replaced the torn white bar tape with Bontrager black cork tape and replaced the white hoods with new black Dia-Compe hoods. I have also removed the panaracers and put on brand new, never ridden on black Vittoria Zaffiro 700x25c tires. Shimano 105 brakes, derailers, and crank. Vetta suede saddle (no tears), Nitto stem, Sun Mistral Ultra hard ano rims with very little brake rub, 105 hubs. This is a Tange 1 frame and is 23.5" from center crank to top of seat tube. This bike was ridden very little and it shows. The bike is in near mint condition with almost no cosmetic blemishes. Simply selling because it is too large for me. I hate to sell it. I'll update with pictures of its current state tomorrow when the suns out.

$300 picked up in Lakeville. Trade? For 23" or 58cm bike

Black Fuji Ace.

Fuji road bike - 10 speed
[h=2]Fuji road bike - 10 speed - $160 (Coolidge corner)[/h]

Selling my Fuji road bike as I need to switch to a hybrid bike for commuting purposes. Just picked it up from quad bikes repair shop on 4/16 with a new chain and new front and rear brakes. Rides as smooth as ever.

Cables will need to be replaced, but currently at a good mid-gear for getting around the city, till then.

Stand over height is 34.5 inches, so better for a taller rider. Frame size is 24".

Includes front and rear lights for night riding.

@Rocket-Sauce - Yes to the bent fork. Might be easy to repair with it being slightly bent. Hard to tell where the bend is from the pics. In front end collisions, the steerer tube sometimes get bent too. Could be the Steerer tube, crown or legs or all of the above. Need to pull it and assess. Its steel, it will bend back. The builder had to bend the leg tube to form the taper, make the oval shape and put the curve in it, all cold forming. Bending it slightly back won't hurt if done carefully and well.

Great negotiation point for reduced price.

Look at the TT. It might have a slight bend in it too, about 2-3 inches back. Look at the shadow on the wall. $280 is way too much for what is offered with these potential issues. You would have to judge how much you are willing to part with.

"Nothing serious" - give me a break!

[h=2]Mens Trek Road Bike w/ upgrades - $225 (Black Mountain)[/h]Mens Trek Road Bike w/ upgrades

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Trek
model name / number: Elance

For sale is a Trek Elance 12-speed Road Bike from around 1987. The bike is in great shape for it's age and is on the lighter side for a steel frame. The bike has new handlebar tape, a new seat, new tubes for the tires, will come with nicer metal pedals, and the brakes and gears work nicely. Shimano 105 components, Reynolds steel frame. I am 6 ft. tall and the bike is just right for my height. Feel free to come see it. Call or texting is fine. Not interested in trades.

Full 8sp Ultegra STI updated 59cm 1989 Fuji Roubaix
[h=2]Full 8sp Ultegra STI updated 59cm 1989 Fuji Roubaix - $425 (Milford)[/h]

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Fuji
model name / number: Roubaix
size / dimensions: 59cm

This beautiful 1989 Fuji Roubaix was bought as a frame set on which to mount my 600/Ultegra tricolor group. I wanted the classic look of a lugged steel frame with the convenience of modern shifting.

The frameset, one of Fuji's top tier bikes for the year, built with i35 triple butted tubing made specifically for Fuji by Ishiwata, is as stated from 1989. The only parts left of the original bike are the frame, fork and headset. The front half of the white frame has a black splatter effect, popular in the late eighties/early nineties. The frame was fully cleaned, any small chips were touched in and the whole thing looks incredible.

The group is Shimano's awesome 600 tricolor group, the next year to be named Ultegra. The group is in beautiful condition, all stickers and decals present. The group consisted of STI shifters, brake calipers, derailleurs, pedals and hubs laced to Mavic rims.

Everything else not included with the group has been replaced with new other than the handlebars which were takeoff from a bike with few miles. The bottom bracket is a brand new Shimano cartridge unit, the 8 speed cassette and chain replaced, the tires and tubes are new. The saddle is a new Turbo lookalike that sits on a new Kalloy seat post. All the cables have been replaced, as have the cable outers. All the new parts including new bar tape were chosen to compliment the accent colors in the decals.

This is a gorgeous bike. So why am I selling? It is just a bit too big for me at 5'10". I have other bikes that fit me a lot better. I also have a Trans-Atlantic move on the not so distant horizon.

Chance to own an incredible bike that has vintage style and modern performance. $425

This Motobecane in San Diego looks to be a serious bargain: The Ideale saddle and Stronglight crankset alone are probably worth the entire asking price.

This one is too cool. A Bartali Sport. Has all the bells and whistles. It is a shame about the seat tube. Unfortunately, I'd be hung out to dry if I bought it.
