Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How about a pic without the bag? Your top tube isn't hideously disfigured, is it?

2006/7 Giant Trance. The parts were picked by our regional Giant rep and put on a spare Trance 3 frame.
RockShox Recon fork (gonna change that)
Shimano Deore/LX RapidFire groupset
RaceFace cranks
EA50 finishing group
Hayes So1e hydraulics
Giant Maestro 4.2 inches of rear travel

In all, I need a shorter stem (I alread flipped and moved down), chopped bars, change the pedals out, and a new fork like a Reba.

just put together a Motobecame Le Champion Ti

feels nice, i need to adjust the rear caliper.

the pics on the BD site almost make the tubes look round but they top top tube and the big main tube are triangular Ti tubes. The thing is a beauty.

That doesn't look like a road bike to me.

Oh, really.. hmm.. you're making it difficult for me to not consider BD for a titanium bike..

yeah for the price of a fairly low-mid end bike at a LBS, i have a full Ti frame(great welds too) with full ultegra drivetrain and ritchey bar/stem/wheels/bars.

this is my first road bike and the fact that i have Ti eases my mind when it comes to dropping/crashing the bike.

Bought it used bone stock and added a set of bottle cages, chain, new pair of Schwalbe tires and tubes, Selle seat, bar tape and the rest is all carbon fiber updates.... Stem, spacers, seatpost clamp and bars.

This winter she's gonna get a black wheelset and I might actually get a some road shoes and pedals... I'm currently using some Time atac mtb pedals and my mountain bike shoes....

If I can sneak it past the wife I might try to throw on a FSA carbon crankset...

Finally took some photos to post today!

She's not cleaned up for the shoot, but that's ok by me.

She's a 1999 Kona Kapu with full Ultegra components. She means a lot to me and has character.

Nice hardwood floors.

Say, are those cards in your spokes?

That brings back memories.

Thanks

It weighs about 23 pounds as it is in the pic according to my digital bathroom scale in case anyone was curious. I can't say enough good things about how it rides

2008 Fuji Newest 2.0. Since I haven't ridden for almost 20 years, I thought this bike was good to get me back into riding. Plan on upgrading in a few years. I rode almost 60 miles this past week, and I love it so far.

Ditto on the Fuji Newest 2.0

I bought it 2 1/2 months ago after riding a mtb for 13 years. Riding for exercise and enjoyment of the outdoors. Having a great time with it.

Awesome pedals. I run eggbeaters on my road bike too. theyre not the most stable things, but they get the job done. I have a nashbar 100 dollar frame with tiagra/105. ill try to post some pics soon
