That wasn't the case last night we went to the Salt Lick, one of Austins better BBQ joints. My niece is in town with her new husband from Buffalo. Man I feel like crap this morning...but damn it was gooooood.

I did about 65 miles yesterday with Stunt road in the middle. One of the woman racers has a new husband and she's been whipping him into shape. He has a 13 pound Scott and he did pretty well considering his lack of miles. He thinks I'm fast.. buhahahaha.

I ate wrong last night including onoin rings and fries. Maybe that's why I'm 206#?

Time to get ready for a 2.5 hour spin.

30 min would be perfect in my book. It depends on you, really. Try it and see--I mean, is it a waste of $10 extra bucks?

chainrings bought. can't believe i'm going to shell out +/-$100 to get my crappy winter bike up to (8) speed, even though winter is drawing to a close (hopefully).

even worse, i'm planning on converting it to a fg/ss for next winter.

This is why a got a coach for this season. Even though I train w/ power & understand all the terminology thrown around here, in the end I just need someone more experienced to tell me what to do. I'm going to do what he says for a season & see how my body responds.

Here is some advice kids. If you are not accustomed to eating copious amounts of BBQ'd meat do not, I repeat, do not, treat your annual trip to the Salt Lick like it was an episode of Man v Food. I've had a very 'crappy' day.

I let a friend borrow my trainer. He just returned it today and broke a part off it. I gave the part to him and told me to get a replacement for it by the end of the week. Bleh...

when i was in memphis, my best friend had been visiting, and we went on a BBQ tasting tour.

upon hearing about the 'tour', a friend in memphis said something to the effect that we'd be __iting vaseline for a few days.

almost.

She just drills it at 1:35 in this cover. Yowsa.

She's a cerebral artist too. I heard an interview of her from her night on ACL, and she had a good analysis of her profession and direction.

I haven't been to Austin in a while, but I used to go regularly and the Salt Lick was a favorite. So was Fonda San Miguel.

The summer I lived there (1982) I used to go to Matt's when it was a dive on the north side of the river. You could see them scooping out salsa from a 55-gal plastic trash can. It wasn't the same experience after they relocated.
