I have lots of C&V bits to trade. Let me know what you’re looking for.

Neal, I have a couple Sachs/Huret Duopars. I think at least one may be NOS. PM me if you're interested in a Duopar and still looking.

I have a Huret Luxe RD, FD, And downtube shifters. If you are interested send me a PM with a list of what you have to trade. I’ve been planning to sell them but I’ve just been too lazy.

I also have those extra long Luxe shifters. Derailleurs are gone.

Thanks, but it looks like Noah Scape and I are working something out.

8 speed Campy index ring or downtube shifter

Well turns out that what I thought was a set of 8 speed Record shifters actually has a 9 speed index ring.Anybody have a 9 speed project they're working on? These are the ones with the cable adjuster on the right shifter. Nice condition. We could trade entire shifter or just the ring. I also have an assortment of Syncro 6 and 7 speed rings as well as numerous other goodies.

Please keep me from buying more stuff! I'm looking at 9 speed cassettes right now

You're probably better off just going 9speed. An 8speed index ring for those shifters (3 internal springs) are not terribly common. I traded one to oldpotatoe over on The Paceline forum earlier this year. Hit him up and see if he used it?

Cool, thanks.

I have some 8 speed Ergos so thinking about putting those on too ...

ISO: the longest 1 1/8" steerer/25.4 clamp stem that you have. 140mm and up. prefer mtb rated. I have road quill stems in return - cinelli, nitto, etc. 25.4, 26.0, 26.4.

ISO wheels for my 1987 Schwinn SS road bike

I'm in the process of fixing up a Super Sport which came with Sachs/Huret derailleurs and 5 speed cassette when I got it. The wheels have dried out tubular tires[IMG][/IMG]. I would like to get another pair of wheels. My question is, what are my options? It would be nice to have a 6 speed instead of a 5 speed also. schwinn ss bb A_zpswkmhjzgz.jpg Photo by danthony9 | Photobucket

It seems that photobucket now wants me to have a paid subscription to post pictures!

Does anyone have a 47-tooth 144 BCD chainring that they're not using? Used is fine provided that it's not too used. Campagnolo is fine, but I'd also be happy with an SR or other clone.

I have various items of value to offer in exchange.

Quill or threadless? I have a 14 cm ITM threadless, but can’t remember the clamp size right now

I have a nice 45 Super Record if you end up needing to compromise on the 47

Pretty sure I have at least a couple of these. I'm heading off to my volunteer job shortly, but I'll check my stash this afternoon.

I appreciate the offer, but since this is a half-step setup, those two teeth really do matter.

I know what you mean. I was going to offer a 49T Campy ring. I switched it out for a 47 so that a 47-42 would make a nice half-step on my Masi. The 49T just made 5 out of 6 combinations redundant.

Yes, my plan is for a 47-42-26 triple in front with a 14-17-21-26-32 freewheel. I do like that low gearing....

IIRC, I have a Campy NR 47, with rootboy drillium. Would gladly trade it for a 49 Campy NR/SR.

I can't help you with a 49, but see jimmuller's post 1544 above. Maybe you guys can figure something out.

If you can post a link to some photos of your tubular wheels some of us may have something to trade for them.

Unless you can find a Suntour ultra 6 freewheel with the gear range you desire you will need to do a couple of things to convert to 6 speed because the 6-speed freewheel and axle are wider than 5 speed:
1. Find a rear wheel that has the longer axle.
2. Spread the rear dropouts from 120mm spacing to 126mm. This is something you may wish to have your local bike shop or frame builder do for you. However there are several descriptions of this process on this forum and other places on the internet.

I have spread stays to 126 a time or two, but I don't do it anymore. Suntour Ultra 6 freewheels are easy to find--there are always lots of them on Ebay--and they work great. It's by far the cleanest and easiest way to go from 5 to 6, at least in my humble opinion.
