If the bike is in good condition, you should be happy with it. I actually looked at that one, and it was too expensive for me with shipping... and not quite what I am looking for... and I have no room for it... and I have a very similar bike from a different manufacturer... Still it would be tempting to me at 1/2 that price... worth what you paid if you don't have all of the things that kept me from bidding. :D |
What do you guys think of this, I did a quick google and couldn't really find any info on the brand. It would be a good size for my 11 year old assuming I can buy 24" sew ups.

Confente on CL, use your equity line
Reply to: sale-186214233@craigslist.org
Date: 2006-07-25, 3:03PM PDT Invoice No. 1106 Nov. 16, 1977 Frame No. 69. color Imron Dark Chesnut Brown w/yellow decals. 10 speed. Original owner. All original, perfect, as new, with all original parts except rims, tires, spokes, and sadle. The paint has some minor scratches. Brian Baylis said he would touch up paint. Only dropped once and that was in a mud puddle. All decals as new. Brochures and rare magazine articles (one includes a list of total bikes made by Mario Confente in the U.S.) This is the best and most famous bike ever built. Long live Mario. No images unfortunately, I guess one could contact Brian and ask if it is for real... Too big for me, too much for me, but if it sells for anywhere near that my wife might want me to sell some bikes. |
Use your equity line, seller has a price of $14995.00 for the Confente
For some reason the title did not anchor. Seller also has the bike listed on ebay currently, no images other than some illustrations he got off the web probably as I have seen them before on the illustrators web site. Starting bid $4500. there with a reserve. Bike is quite possibly real, these bikes do go for a fair amount, last one if I remember correctly fetched about half the 15K asking price. |
after finding a vintage schwinn on the curb last night that I brought home, I started looking around for a 3-speed hub and parts and wound up buying this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
Should be an interesting bike to have in the collection, especially if I can fix up the schwinn. |

This is intriguing:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 According to the listing, it's a Miyata road bike, new in the original shipping box, that he found in the attic of a closed bike shop. I know, sounds fishy ... but that's what the pictures really show. I've never heard of the model (MT-10-3) but the box says made in Japan (not Taiwan). I have a question out to him to find out which level of Shimano it's equipped with. Might be a deal. |

"ok guys just to mention the model is called a "sport ten" and the material it is made out of is magna light manganese steel tubes." Not a high end model, but new old stock is real cool.... |
I just won this last week on ebay. I am thinking of putting some Bianchi "Celeste" Bar wraps on her when she gets here this week.
Item number: 120010310632 |
That would look sweet with Celeste wrap...

I bought this for my daughter the other day, looking at the pic I thought the chainstay wasn't bent, just had the wheel in crooked, went over and picked it up and sure enough the wheel was just cocked LOL. Not a huge deal, but he gave it to me for an even 100 and it cleaned up nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true |
This Bridgestone is practically new! The thing's gorgeous—I love the color! And no reserve! I'd so get it if I had the money to spare, not sure how high it'll go. Ugh!
Jesus! Look at the freewheel! |
