This one is a puzzler. Does all that uncertainty (and lack of a price) mean that it hasn't been stolen yet?

Nothing to add at moment. But do to my clasic/vintageaholism i tend to watch sub 1990 bike auctions on ebay for bikes ive picked up over the years. Ive seen some real stinkers in the past. Like huffys from 1990 askign price 300. Err excuse me huffy 300 used no thanks. Now if its a huffy tagged bike from the olimpics maybe then yeh as those are not made by huffy they are made for the huffy racing team. Just like my old bmx i had years ago was.
Fun topic for sure.

This brings a whole new meaning to high priced. Of course that is the most unusual crankset I've ever seen!

As for the bike, it is THE example of the "Tonka Look."

I am adding this listing for one reason. I sent an email to him to explain that valves are either Schrader or Presta, and not as he advertises... He has reposted since then, so now I think he belongs in the numbskull list... I also pointed out that if anyone is interested in spending $350 for a 20+ year old bike they want more details about size and components...
It looks a little large for me, and my price point for the bike would be closer to the $50 that he considers insulting than what he is asking... but it does look like a nice rider... and probably worth more than I would be willing to pay (I would top out at $100 for any bike that isn't really special)
I also pointed out to him (after I checked) that I can lift my 30 year old Sears bike with one finger... and it weighs a LOT!
https://harrisburg.craigslist.org/bik/173320788.html
Men's 27", 12 speed Fuji Trivoli racing bike, high quality & lightweight, and blue in color.
Comes with the Shrader/ Presto valves on narrow 27 x 1 1/8" tires that are in great shape, also have the quick release hubs on the front & back.
Overall it's in good shape, the wheels are true, and brakes are excellent too. Has toe clips, bottle holder and internal brake cables. It is light weight as seen in the picture, I am holding it up with one finger. It does not have kick stand. The bike seat has a small chuck taken out of it up front when I was transporting it in my car. $350 OBO, reasonable offers only, and serious inquires only please.
This is NOT your typical Kmart or Walmart quality of bike. Sorry but $50 is not a reasonable offer for this type of quality bike, please don't insult me with those kind of offers. If you know about bikes the pictures say it all!

Numbskull & Lying Ass Of The Day:
https://cgi.ebay.com/Classic-Raleigh-...QQcmdZViewItem
#1: "The 50cm Metalic-Green frame is perfect for an entry level rider of medium height (5'4" -6'0")."
What constitutes the difference between a frame for an "entry-level rider" and an "advanced rider," or any other kind of rider? As for size, that's one hell of a range for a 55cm machine...
#2: "Also included ... are the original water bottle and pump. These items are accessories that were made with this specific bike and are rare items today."
Made for this specific bike? Hell, they didn't even COME with it. As for rarity, the waterbottle is worth slim to zilch, and the Silicas are a dime a dozen.
#3: "Original price of the bike was $700.00!"
Yea, RIGHT. $300-350 is more like it.
#4: "Recently read an article about Retro Raleighs that priced the Competition 555 in excellent condition at $400.00 and PayPal is the only means of payment."
You read an article on the Competition/Competition GS. "555" was mentioned nowhere. And for that matter, what does PayPal have to do with Retro Raleighs in this sentence and paragraph?

Anyone want to take issue with the claim that the Record was the best Raleigh ever made? Oh, brother.

Add this one to the photographically challenged:

The auction is for the Raleigh, but that Gazelle sure shows well.

Not as much a numbskull seller, but a numbskull factory copy of everything under the sun:

The Motobecaneish "Made In Japan" decal is too much - but the "Araya 631" tubing decal takes the cake!

He's back... Still can't find a buyer at $325 for what sounds like a nice bike if he would just get his posting straight. He still hasn't corrected the couple of things I alerted him to in an email.
https://harrisburg.craigslist.org/bik/182553989.html
It now has Schraeder / Presta valves instead of Schreader Presto... and now he has mentioned the magical tires that are: 700C or 27 x 1 1/8" It is also listed as 54-56 cm, so it apparently has a flexible size too...
Just imagine the technology that allows for all of this flexibility, and he can still pick it up with one finger...

Hello!
Curious, what componentry gruppo is this bike outfitted with? Looks like it might be Campagnolo C-Record.
Thank you!

Wonder what he'll make out of that.
