I don't think $700 is too unreasonable for this one:

should be Columbus DB and the lugs/chrome look great

Well considering the almost random mix of components Italian, French, Japanese and American not even all of the same vintage and the fact it is only mid level frame I couldn't see a serious buyer going more than $300-350 in most markets.

And considering he bought the Italvega on CL $150 or less from an older woman, 2 days before he listed it for $1000+. If I wasn't in Lake Charles at the time, I would have bought it and kept it, for the original price.,,,,BD

IE: he's a low life flipper who can't even spell half of the components he's bragging about.... He's gotten better, but probably from google searches. His first posting about them was dismal...You could barely understand him...

If I lived near DC, I'd answer this one!

Two Fun Girls Seek Two Laid Back Bros With Two Tandem Bikes (Washington, DC)

You know that awkward feeling when you're riding your tandem bike and there's no one on the back of it?

Fret no longer.

We're two adventurous 24-year-old girls who love biking around the city and today we had an epiphany--let's take our love for biking to the next level.

Do you have a tandem bike? Want to ride around on a sunny afternoon with a cute chick on your back seat?

We're thinking the recipe for good times looks something like this:
2 guys
2 tandem bikes
4 positive attitudes
We'll bring the beer, You bring the bikes

If you're not a serial killer and want to let the good times roll, get in touch.

peace & love,
biker babes

Not a problem. Already have a 1968 Mini-Twinn and a 20" homemade BMX tandem. Finding another dude to go along with this should be easy too. People are always bugging me to ride these little bikes. If so called "Cute chicks" are involved I'd probably have a waiting list...

Appears to have not only a bent fork, but, also a down-tube. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot salame...

Maybe he left the fork unpainted so everybody would know he effed up a really nice bike, and not just some old beater...

Actually, I think there is a good chance it might be a moto. Seen that color combo and hub before on a grand touring. This bike represent many things I dislike about this "hipster" movement:

- brakeless. Good luck on the road and don't t-bone me.
- fixed-gear. Why not flip that hub and make it a single speed? Coasting is much more practical during commute.
- Super bright Deep V wheels. hurts my eyes. and why mismatched
- neon bright paint. just....why? such an eyesore. and why you no paint that fork....
- what kinda toe-strap is that
- they put a new brooks just so they can be different from everyone else

lastly and most importantly, why do they always butcher old classic bikes!!! Just buy a kilo TT for scott's sakes.

The ad said it had a carbon fork, yet the pics show the original. The front wheel is likely original too. Other than the paint job, the wheels, crank, pedals, seatpost as well as all the missing parts, it's a pretty nice bike. Too bad, he would've made more profit if he left it original.
