OK, not exactly C&V material but definitely controversial and maybe..... future collectable?? Though I certainly think both look like something to blast off on and cool.

It's unclear if it was made for him or he owned it. Some of the bikes were never delivered to the team. It happens. Things change mid season. Without something signed for authentication, it's just a Lance-type bike. Remember that the team probably had a half dozen bikes for him for any given race.

Here he is on the same model.

Any guesses as to what this one might be? The cotters don't get excited, but the chromed stays and absence of pie plates and turkey levers suggest something older and more interesting than a bike boom bike.

That's pretty spendy for leMans with a beat up paint job. Not a bad bike, but I would expect to get about half that price for it (maybe) in my market. You might want to go a size up, too, if you have long arms and legs for your size. Otherwise, it could a decent fit for your height.

EDIT: Oh! Toronto. Yeah, that's priced at about market value for that town. Sorry, you guys don't get cheap, good bikes. You may have to bite the bullet.

"Will consider less for the frameset alone." Hmmmm.

1977 RALEIGH COMPETITION GS - $275 (central)

1977 RALEIGH COMPETITION GS

Repainted by previous owner who did a pretty great job. Built for 700c wheels and standard reach brakes. I had it built up as a single speed, Sunday funday rider and absolutely loved it (see last photo). Recently picked up a completely original Raleigh Competition so this one needs a new home.

$275 as it sits, will consider less for framset alone.

• Frame size 23 1/2 (59.5ish cm) Center to Top

• Reynolds 531 Butted Tubes, Stays and Fork

• Campagnolo Dropouts (120 Rear Spacing)

• Tange Headset

• New Soma Sutro Stem (100mm Long, 180mm Tall, 26mm Clamp)

• Cinelli Giro D'Italia (42cm Wide)

• Gipiemme Aero Levers (NOS)

• Campagnolo Top Tube Clamps

• Brown Newbaums Bar Tape

• Velo Orange Metallic Braid Brake Cables

Texts or emails preferred, calls okay. Available to meet on east side or central. Thanks for looking!

Would be nice if the individual would add pictures to assess the condition of the frame/components already, but this could be an okay deal if in good condition.

I hope the CdI is NOS. They solf for around $520 new with a Formula 2 frame, Suntour Cyclone Acushift derailleurs and FW, Ofmega cranks, pedals, hubs, headset, Modolo Start brakes and Ambrosio rims. Oh an ITM stem/bars.

A good bike and one that is sure to be a great rider, if my '88 Trofeo is any example of the Formula ride. I think closer to $300-350 is a better 'deal' in clean good condition.

[h=2]Sweet Vintage Bianchi Road Bike (58cm) - $400 (Jamaica Plain)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map)

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Bianchi
model name / number: Nuova Racer
size / dimensions: 58cm

Bianchi nuovo racing 12 speed.

Top of the line bike from 1982 which I got from its original owner. Made in Italy from Columbus steel with Campagnolo Nuovo Record shifters and derailleurs.

All original, cleaned up and restored with normal scratches, but no dents or dings. Put Panaracer Pasela 700x35 tires on for slightly cushier ride on Boston's beat up streets. Shifts and brakes smoothly. Has eyelets for racks or fenders if you wanted to install.

Bought for $595 in 1982, which is over $1500 in today's dollars. Comes with original owners manual.

Size:
58 st ctc
58 tt ctc
140 mm stem

Here's a nice write up of the same bike in a different color: Lovely Bicycle!: Celeste e Bianca: Nice Day for a Ride!

And here's one on eBay that sold for $700:

Moving, so have to say goodbye to my unfinished project. Raleigh Kodiak touring bike, lugged steel frame, navy blue and silver. Standover height is 31 inches, seat tube is 20 inches and top tube is 20.5 inches. This bike has a mix of original and new parts. The drivetrain is new, with a Shimano Deore XT rear derailleur and Shimano Deore LX front derailleur and bar end shifters. Suntour XC Pro triple crankset with bronze chainrings. New Xpedo pedals, though the original pedals are available instead, should you prefer them (pictured). The seatstay had let go...I was told not enough brazing material...and has been re-brazed, but the repair has blurred the first few letters of Raleigh on the left seatstay (pictured) and the paint there is touch-up paint, along with the seat lug paint. The repair is solid. Original fluted seat post. Dark blue leather Persons saddle with copper rivets. The wheels are original with new Panaracer Pasela tires and new Schwalbe tubes. Hubs are drilled for grease ports. Rear rack and eyelets for fenders and braze-ons for low-riders. Included are the SKS Longboard fenders with hardware. Rides like a dream. $850 firm, cash only.
