OK, thanks. As I look at it closer, it appears to be one of the Taiwanese Raleighs as well. Those have fooled me before. Still, if it's "Raleigh Tubing", isn't that usually something pretty decent that's just been re-branded?

Going to put some big fat tires and and a triple or compact double on it and go grind some gravel.

That ^^^^^ dude sells a LOT of '70s-'80s roadies. Seems to favor Cannondale, Trek, Centurion, the occasional Raleigh. Cleans them up very nicely, knows what he's selling, and lists them with lots of info. Even lists on Madison CL and says he'll travel here. I often check his ads just for the bike porn value.

There's the frameset for one of these at the local co-op for very cheap. Not in nice shape but very cheap.

^^^^ what is the catch here? 10 days and ad is still on?
Senior Member
Advertising it as an "adult triathlon bike" without mention of Schwinn or Tempo probably turns away the target crowd. This is one occasion where removing an accessory might increase its value - take the tri bars off and now it's a normal road bike. Advertise it as such and it will probably sell quickly.
