Early-mid 70's Gitane Tour de France or Super Corsa. The seatstay treatment and brazed-on rear centerpull cable stop are dead giveaways. Wish I still had my TdF. Sigh...

SP
OC, OR

ps - very reasonable price too.

I just acquired another 1987 27" frame Cannondale ST400 off CL for $100.00 !
That makes 3, and I am working on #4.

The formula that answers the question "How many bikes is enough? is: N+1, where N=the number currently owned.
Or: N-1, where N=the number of bikes at which your wife will leave you!

[h=2]Bianchi Veloce 59cm Frame + Campagnolo - $250 (Acton, MA)[/h]

Date: 2012-12-20, 6:18PM EST
cs2wr-3492303666@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

Bianchi Veloce Frame, 59cm c-t-c, Blue, plus Campy Veloce Components

Up for sale is a very high quality frame with some original componentry, as seen in photos. Everything on the bike is functionally pristine, with heavy cosmetic wear. Bottom bracket was just overhauled and is now perfectly smooth, headset feels perfectly smooth, brake is clean and smooth. Nothing is bent, and there are no dents or cracks anywhere on anything. Paint has a variety of dings and scrapes all over the bike, one section of which is shown in the photo of part of the top tube, and some of the stickers are a little smooshed. There is surface rust which has been clear-coated to halt it, and there is no pitting. None of the cosmetic issues pose any threat to the function or longevity of this bike. It's a nice ride, great to build back into a flashy classic racer, a tenacious commuter bike, a fixie or single speed... whatever you can dream up.

Lugged Double-Butted Cro-Mo Frame with Columbus Thron tubing; interior cable routing on top tube
Columbus Thron Fork, Unicrown, Chrome-Plated
Campagnolo Veloce Rear Brake
Campagnolo Veloce Front Derailleur
Campagnolo Veloce Crankset, 39/53 tooth chainrings, crank length 172.5mm
ITM Super Italia Pro-2 Handlebars
ITM Stem, Microadjusting, 125mm
Bontrager Carbon Seatpost

MSRP for the full bike was $2150. With the stuff that's there, it would be $1250 new. Selling in used, smooth-running condition for $250 firm.

My name is Kevin. With questions about the bike or its condition, or to schedule a time to see the bike, call me at 978-317-3867.

Posting will be removed when the bike is sold.

The frame is not in the best of condition and has several paint chips as well as some surface rust.

Just check everything over to be sure that it is only surface rust and nothjng too deep

That's a tough lesson.

Don't take the time to post next time you see a prospect.

Have cash ready, contact the buyer pronto and tell them you'll come over in an hour.

Works for me all too well.
